Honestly seeing someone else's skill setup really won't help you that much. Just mess around with your skills as you level and you'll eventually get a feel for where you're most comfortable with various skills/actions/armors.0

This is true.
There's plenty of things going on with hotkeys. Which keys are you most comfortable using, which ones you think you'll never use. Which skills you use, how and how frequently. Which non-skill things you'd like to place in the bars, e.g. macros, button for def charms, button for charm to see the cooldown, buttons for genie skills, apos, mounts, pets.
For example, my bars look like this. What you can see in there is the following things:
1-7 contains the skills that I use most often
Second row is combat skills that I use frequently but not frequently enough
Third row is my control skills plus stuff I rarely use
Fourth row is infrequently used items plus a button for my charm (which I don't even use)
F1-F3 are non-attack stuff I frequently use in combat
F4-F5 are the stuff I frequently use outside of combat for various purposes
F6-F8 are my buffs
Second row is various things which I tend to use before or between combats, such as short-duration buffs, stealths, gear swaps
Third row is my genie skills, mount and pet
You can see that I have plenty of empty slots, which I use to separate stuff to avoid weird misclicks. Wouldn't be an issue except that the separated skills are stuff that I tend to use very rarely.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.
If you see b:cute be sure to take a second, calm look at anything I said.0 -
Clickeh
I'm pretty much a pure clicker and someone who goes mainly after the colour mix of the icon. So placing like 5 purple skills next to each other would make go b:surrender
I usually have my pets, mount and buffs on the F keys. Also weapon to change there, adapted from my BM.
The rest.. I dunno. Makes sense to me =p[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
