If a random person pretends to make gear with your mats for you

If a random person pretends to make gear with your mats for you, how much in-game legal certainty do I have?

3rd cast nirvana gear (awakened gear) is tradable, if you don't equip it or make it with lunar nv gear.
If you ask in word chat for someone who has the mold and the basic badges to make 3rd cast gear for you. And then you trade the 2nd cast gear, the coins + essence of defense to the person and he/she is running away with it. Do GMs react fast, if you sent them a screenshot? Will you get your stuff back? Within how many days normally? Is a screenshot necessary? (I suppose they have the chat and trading protocols anyway?)

2nd question: how much coins would you take/pay to make gear for someone? (= How much is 3rd cast gear mold + 30 basic badges worth on your server?)

When i craft something for someone i don't ask any money (except the cost of the make the thing or if the person make me waste 50-100k on teleport).

I would not world chat for find someone to craft something that worth so much.

Common sense should tell you not to trust a random stranger with your very expensive mats. I suggest you ask a faction member, or simply upgrade your own skills.

Problem isn't skills, but having the required mold and badges, which are untradeable and only attainable by doing numerous Adv Warsong/Lunar runs.

Going with someone you don't know is very risky. At the least I'd find someone who is well known (even if not by you directly) and has a good reputation. Don't give your loot to some no-name shmuck no one has ever heard of. Chances are much greater that they won't care much for damaging their rep, since no one knows who they are anyway.

I took the gamble with my Striking Dragon. Didnt have the required blacksmith skill at that time. I was standing at center arch looking for BM's wearing Striking Dragon with their own name on it. The person i picked was also a faction leader.
I asked him if he could make me my fists and he was willing. Talked abit about the fact that the trade would be a gamble on my side. He agreed. I also told him i was taking screenshots of the conversation. Only to trash him to social death in wc if he was to run off. :P

He crafted the fists and traded them back to me.

Made my G16 myself, but i have also made some G15/G16 for other people. Factionbuddies, friends on my list and people i know by name becauses i played alot with them in the past.

Just to be safe i always tell them that if i might dc after the trade, i will be back within the minute. Worst case i get some sort of net troubles. In that case i would make a post on this forum about it asap. I also advise people to take screenshots of the conversation and the trade.
Totally not to send to GM's if things go wrong. Thats useless.
No its just so they have the ability to completely trash me in wc or on forums, with some proof.

In the end it remains a gamble. If the person walks off with the mats after the trade, well, its your bad, and thats that.

Naming isn't allowed in forum. And that's one of the few things they reallly enforce very fast.

I would always sent a ticket to GM. G16 gear is worth 100$+ and weapons way more. And in-game scamming is clearly against ToS:
    10. User Conduct
    (j) Engage in any actions that defraud or attempt to defraud, scam or cheat others out of any items that have been earned through authorized game play;

I would just like to know which experiences others have made till now - after they got scammed and sent a ticket.

Anyone on HL can pm me at any time to make anything up to and including level 7 crafts because I'm trying to make enough stuff to get to 8. I've been playing 3 years, feel free to ask around, I've not ripped anyone off in that time and I dont plan on starting now.

I think he was referring that he would post on the forums if he was crafting something, had net issues and couldnt get back in-game to give the item to whoever he was crafting it for.

This, and like some others already said, GM's won't react or get your stuff back. If you give a random person expensive stuff, you will have the risk of having him/her running away with it.

In the case of G16 molds, it's the only way to "buy" the item. But imo, that gear was intended for those who already got to great gear, to farm themselves something even better based on their own work. For me, that is the reason the last recast is rather cheap and the molds not tradeable (and a response to those who asked high-end gear not being cashshop only). Unfortunately, for lunar nirvana there is a way to get around this inconvenience.

If you don't want to risk losing your stuff with a stupid action (and then rage at GMs for yourself loosing a gamble), either try to get the mold and badges yourself or inform your friends you are interested to buy if they get lucky.

The person who reads your ticket about this will call collegues to laugh at you.

Again, if YOU deceide to HAND OVER mats to someone, that is YOUR choice.
As i said its a gamble, and if the other person deceides to run off, thats is YOUR mistake, since YOU trusted him.
