How is PWI community in general with guys making female chars. I have BM, but I would like my Archer to be female. Are people generally against guys making female chars in PWI, or is it norm.

It's commonplace, and only idiots have any problem with it. I think it helps that we have a couple of gender-locked classes, it gets people used to thinking of the gender of the character as being separate from the gender of the player.

Myself, I have a char of each class, half of them male and half female. Just because I can.

People tend to assume archers are all males anyway. But if you made a female cleric or mystic you would get hit on.

You can usually spot guys playing girls anyway... let's just say that very few women make their toons have proportions comparable to Barbie. b:chuckle

Play away. If you're feeling a female archer, go ahead and make one. Just be aware that most people will refer to your toon as female, just for ease of pronouns. It's easy enough to correct them, though I find I don't often bother on my male barb.

Go ahead. 90% of the female archers I personally know are male, and it is quite common to see males playing female chars.

Just be prepared to be hit on. ._.

And unfortunately for us, for every one of them, there's the 5 guys that will hit on you anyways even when you try to lie and say you're a guy as a way to make them leave. Hooray for blacklists and teleport stones (or simply ignoring them/killing them/getting them killed).

Eh, ignore them and just play your female character.

There are a lot more of those in MOBA (DOTA-style) games since most MOBA players think that women/female players do not exist in MOBA games b:chuckle

My own rule of thumb is how often do they use smileys. If you average one smiley every 3 or more posts you are female.

I know most huge boobed toons are male but I know a player in real life and she has all big boob toons. Says she does it to make them look like her in real life.

I generally make female characters in an RPG. It's more aesthetically pleasing to me than watching a dude's *** for anywhere between 100 and 1000 hours of gameplay. And I hate making big **** with tiny waists because that looks really freaking ugly (plus...I don't have a sister so I never had a reason to develop a Barbie fetish).

I find that as long as you don't pretend to be a girl IRL, I'm not creepy b:victory.

My favorite theory on why I made a female character was that I am either a) sexually insecure or b) unable to get a hot girl IRL so I made one in game...both of which are kinda demolished by my girlfriend b:dirty.

Half the people who are female toons are dudes anyway. So often in fact, that when one of us honest to goodness females IRL say we are girls. People don't believe us. XD b:chuckle

*shrugs* I'm a girl and I play a female seeker along with a male cleric.
I usually don't even bother correcting people anymore when they call me "he".
If I become friends with them I'll tell them. As long as you don't pretend to be of the opposite gender irl I don't see a problem xD

If 99% of female toons are male... then there is also 99% of male toons are female.

Make a girl toon, and find someone with a male toon but female behind the screen. No problem b:laugh.

Yes. My hubs and I each made an opposite gender archer on purpose cause its fun.

There's a lot of guys playing female char, some cause they prefer see a female char, some other for other reason.

I don't know alot of girls playing male chars though, some will play their bf or hubby char, but not many made a male char to play it.

The best exemple is check how many venomancer was playing by guys, but not a lot of barb are play by girl.

I personally don't care if someone play male or female char, but guys playing female toon to get free stuff from guys is just stupid.

I have a lot of male characters and I'm a girl. Likewise, my boyfriend has.. A LOT of female characters. He feels like he can't make a nice male Tideborn or Earthguard, so he just makes girls instead, but he hates what he calls "**** that can crush moutains" so all his girls are very petite. No one can tell he's a he most of the time, particularly on his sin, more when I'm around on my barb, who his sin is married to. One guy we squaded with honestly could not grasp that I was the girl and he was the guy, even when we spelled it out very very clearly..

As a side note from that, most people even assume I'm a guy on my veno. She's made to look like me, she's not proportionally wonky, in fact, half the time they haven't SEEN my veno. Unisex names ftw..? b:embarrass

Kind of OT - but I was playing an archer character in another MMO and helping this lower-levelled person.

After a bit, they asked is I would be their 'girlfriend', in game. I informed them that I had three kids older than them. Their response was "Sorry, Mum".

ok, just 'cause it is a female character . . .

I am a guy and used to play male chars most of the time, but when i restarted on the new server i began to play females. The main point was the reaction of others in squad.

I had the feeling that female players (or those with female chars) can make mistakes without someone shouting fail or noob and that others being nice just because a player seems female.
For example, when i was in a 51 with my male cleric and was the main healer and used about 100 pots just to keep the barb and 4 players alive (including a female cleric who never heard of a different skill than Blessing of the purehearted) a boss dropped a -chan piece of gear. What does the barb do? "Give it to *** (female cleric) she is a mage. She did a great job!b:kiss "

I just couldnt stand that anymore and made all my new chars but the barb female.
But i see it was a horrible mistake xD The bit chfights between female players is much worser than rolling a male.

Well, i got the feeling anyway that on the new server there a more chars of opposite gender. A lot of "female" barbs :))

Haha pretty much what you say, make me laugh when i see people give stuff to a female char, look like they don't know that many guys play female chars.

And yes when you are in a female squad it's awful if they start to fight. xD

You have to admit that barbs are the worst at sucking up to females. If it was a BM or seeker tanking he would have let you have it.
