A Newb's concern

Mkays....so here is my rant/question for the Gm's and others. I have played sin's,archer's,psy's & seeker classes. I see many Veno's running around having just as much fun, which made me curious of the class.

Upon further inspection,Glacial walker was the preffered pet (f2p) for grinding. I love the unuiqeness of the class, but I wanted a pet that suited my personality.

I've made it to lvl 69 on my main -Seeker & upon realization that a Veno would be best suited for me to work on after reaching lvl 70. As stated,I wanted a pet that would suit my favorite animal,a wolf or a fox. I do see wolves around, but all of them look redundant. After recieving a quest on my psy,i noticed the lvl 48 Silver Fox out by tellus.

I had a veno friend come to see if it could be tamed, since it is the best wolf/fox resembling creature in the game & thus would provide more reason for me to play a Veno. It was not,but many creatures are in that central area.

So my question is,"Why is this animal not tamable?" it's not a great creature, low def and high dps. I see no reason for it not to be tamable for a lvl 72 veno.

Could it be possible to explain the story of why the Game Designers would make the best looking creature in the game nontamable?

Nothing in the earthguard area was made tamable --- why, we players do not know. There was much QQing by the venos when that expansion came out.

As for a unique, distinctive wolf-like pet in the 4x-5x level range, may I recommend the Lunar Lupin? It's not a rare, but it's almost one; only two spawn points on the map, in an obscure area few go to. Next prettiest is likely the Guardian Wolf.

Up in the 8x-9x level range, there's the ninetailed firefox near burning heart. I don't know if it's any good as a grinding pet, though.

The Ninetailed Firefox is level 85, and fast but squishy. I've recorded the stats for levels 98-100 on the wiki, so you can compare it to other level 100 pets (Ecatomb has a number of pets' stats at level 100 recorded, in addition to the few whose level ~100 stats have been recorded on the wiki.) You can grind with any pet if you're willing to cater to its limitations, but this isn't an ideal grinding pet.

The only other tameable fox is the level 99 Peachyard Firefox in Abaddon.

Have you considered the cats? There's a large number of tameables in 3 families (4 families if you count the rare tabby plumdrop) across a wide tame level range.

Thank you two for the help. I'll be sure to look into the Cat like creatures & the Lupine thing.

As for the Game designers, I find it a bit of a fail to not add those creatures into the gameplay. As a designer myself,it would prove more "ambitious" for players to play if they had a wider range of choices.

Maybe I'll consult a GM about this issue and discuss it with them on a better level,as for now tho,my Veno shall remain a lvl 1 until I seek these creatures out.

Once more,Thanks for the help. :D

I can't remember ever seeing a 100+ veno using a Glacial Walker. You can't go by what you read in the forum.

Lunar Lupin comes with Lv5 Howl before a pet of it's level can learn it. It's one of the best skills you can put on a pet, and would cost you around a million to do so.

If you want a list of all the pets and their pictures I recommend this link:

There are some pretty cool looking pets out there. The site is still under construction when it comes to the higher level dungeon pets as I don't have the level to catch them yet. >.<
