~52 Str, the rest in mag.Be kind: Help the GMs to depopulate the servers.0

Odd levels 1 str 4 magic.
Even level 5 magic.
You need .5 strength per level for armor and 3.5 magic for your weapon. The extra point per level is up to you but most just go pure magic and let their pet do the tanking or retreat to fox for pdef if they need survivability.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0 -

tweakz is all glass cannon, all the time, and he'll crudely insult anyone who might ever want to play any other way. And yes, 52 str is enough for end-game arcane armor.0 -
at end game your vit should be 3 for any class besides barb, all your HP should come from gear.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

You think the pathetic amount of HP from vit at high cost to dmg, heals, and operating costs is worth it?
You think the pathetic amount of crit from dex or str is worth it?
Equips are for HP and def, what vit proponents do is shrug their responsibility of properly equipping.
The 100+'s that cry of not having money? You can get 3 Nirvana keys a day + more with BH100s just by going to NPC in Raging Tides. Set those keys away and wait for 2x while finding other ways to make coin. Now during 2x you could have ~6 stacks of 99 keys where you can hire a great squad to carry your poor butt through for the 99 key quest. You end up with 10 canny, 2+ rap, and a split of the run per run. It didn't take you a lot of time per day, it doesn't require 3 hours of attention to the game, and it doesn't require great equips or imposing your insufficient toon on others.Be kind: Help the GMs to depopulate the servers.0 -

Thank you Tweaks, so you do 9MAG, 1 STR(2 Levels) right? EDIT: When do you stop putting STR at 52?
Also can anyone tell me how they do the - Raging Tides, or any other place beside their name and make it Caps.0 -
52-54 str is a good place to stop, depending on what you want your end game weapon to be. Keep in mind, the rank 9 weapon requires 60 str.0

Some gears you need only 52 and some other 54, that will depend on what gears you gonna have.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Some gears give you +6 str, R8 only requires 50, Nirv 2nd stage 52, dunno about others.Be kind: Help the GMs to depopulate the servers.0

No Assassin in their right mind bothers with tt99 weapon, and almost any -int cape is going to cover the difference.Be kind: Help the GMs to depopulate the servers.0

Dude it's venomancer section, not sin and 54 str is for the gears which you need to make nirvy one.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Posting in the wrong thread again? I assumed we were talking about venomancers, not assassins.
Also, yeah, 54 str with a lunar wing trophy cape would give you enough str to wear the rank 9 weapon, but I prefer the G13 channeling cape to the wing trophy cape. Mostly because it's G13.
If you don't plan on rank 9, 54 str might be slightly more than you need.0 -

Idiotic arguments of tweakz just to base his frail opinion , don't be trolled.
To OP the STR you will need will be round to 54-60 depening on
1) your choice of weapon (rank , TT, Nirvana)
2) the amount of gear that is endgame and provide STR
So instead of requiring an exact answer , tell us what are you planning to do (like how much are you planning to spend in this game . By spend i mean time and money)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
<--- MALE Veno ..... Moved to G W 2 or maybe not completely , don't know ...... PW addiction
{That TT xbow chain is one that describes someone's bowel movements after having too much spicy food. A loud **** (Thundercrack), then a burning sensation (Flash Fire), followed by an explosion of multi-colored poo-confetti (Blinding Radiance). Excellent...} By Quilue0 -

That's full rank 9, it'll run you a couple thousand USD. See here and here.0 -

Rank 9 is only a very effective investment if you aim for PVP.
Rank 8 (costs round to 100m ingame coins , requires 200k reputation)) is perfect for PVE. Combined with TT 99 boots and wrists plus a bunch of good ornaments will suffice for any instance and dungeon.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Is R9 really over a $1000?0 -

depends on sales and whether you plan to cash it all the way or farm it a bit in-game. I dont know for sure cause i dont even plan to get it.
Most clever merchants try to make a balance between farming and cash shopping.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Whats a better server type for Veno PvP or PvE im not sure what I like more?0 -

I may not be a very clever merchant then... I do no cash shopping, at least not in the sense of buying zen/gold with RL money, and only farm for mats my playing chars need, never for resale. All my merchanting these days is reselling cash shop stuff I bought with the income from my previous sales. I do OK, though I'll never be any really big-time merchant.
For instance, none of my merchanting will ever buy me rank 9, I'll never even get close --- but then, like Phoenix, I'm not planning on it either. Only PvP players need that gear, all the PvE content in the game can be handled well with much cheaper stuff --- even rank 8 may be more than you need for that.
For comparison, here's a veno wearing rank 8 armor, and here's the rank 8 weapon for venos.
Edit: whether you like PvE or PvP has, I think, little to do with the class you play. It's more of a personal preference in playing styles. You can always start out on a PvE server and go into PvP mode once you hit level 30, do a little friendly fighting that way, and if it seems fun move to a PvP server where people take it more seriously.0 -

I honestly hate R8 It just looks idk how to say it bad. Anything better than R8 but worse than R9?0 -

There's always G16 nirvana. The only real cost associated with it is the cost required to get the G15 pieces to recast. Most of the G16 mats are bound, with the exception of the essence of defense/offense.0 -
FWIW, few people at the end-game levels these armors require run around in their armor any longer; by that point most folks have bought fashion to cover up the ugly looks of nearly every set of armor in the game. Wearing fashion doesn't take away the protection of the armor you'll be wearing "underneath", the fashion just fixes the looks of your character. (For arcane armors, pretty much only the female level 50-59 set looks really good, I'd say.)
But no, there's not a whole lot in between rank 8 and 9. Maybe some of the nirvana stuff, but that's generally considerably more expensive than rank 8.
See also: ecatomb.net for the aesthetic looks of most equipment in the game, and pwdatabase.com for the statistics and bonuses of each piece.0 -
