Just curious on what the response on actually turning this feature on has been. As I haven't seen it.

    GMs are worried about the price of tokens skyrocketing, thus affecting the F2P playerbase greatly.

    See, they really care about us!

    In all seriousness, how many have r9r currently? HT, I only know like.......3 people, and that's only having a piece, usually the weapon.

    Mono on HT has full r9 recast, supposedly there is an archer on RT that has 3rd cast already (at least what _Skai_ had quoted him for).

    I'm just thinking of a simpler area to get the r9 recast than have people farm such an insane amount of raptures and cannies.

    We already saw what happened to token prices with the aurora agent, when you could get a canny for 10 tokens (or better stuf)

    What do you think will happen when every single R9 (who usually have alot of money) scrambles to buy every damn token they can get there hands on?

    Yeah but token prices depend less on supply and more on the value of packs. An npc like this would increase that value significantly, and so prices will go up by a lot. Look at the prices when people could get something as relatively easy to get as cannies. The token price quickly went up to only be slightly below the cost of buying it from a merchant who bought it from a farmer. This is because the tokens themselves aren't worth a whole hell of a lot so the prices are based more on what is the most popular types of things people make out of them.

    i was gonna post on why PWI wont allow for wedding candy exchange, but then i did the math.
    6000 packs which works out to be 2640 gold for 90000 tokens at current pack price. with the diminishing demand for a lot of the stuff that can pop out of packs, fewer people are opening packs, i know TOBL spam has been very low on HT, besides 2 or 3 days right after drake mirrors were released, which is a good bellwether for how many packs are being opened.

    if they can boost token demand to where it makes sense to buy packs to get them, wedding candy would be the way to do it, expect a big r9 sale, like 50% off, before this happens to boost the demand for the subsequent wedding candy release even more.

    It wouldn't be an NPC they put in, all they would have to do is edit the current NPC that you get the Summerwind Tokens from to accept Wedding Candies and Raptures+Cannies. (Probably duplicate the icon to the second slot next to the current one, and have it accept wedding candies instead of Raptures+cannies)

    Maybe they are still getting a good "milking" of cash still. I honestly would have expected a 50%+ off sale on r9 already, or at least a discount on MoGs and GST.

    Any half-minded F2Per could see the r9 3rd recast update was blatant murder of the F2P playerbase. The bitter irony is that YES, F2PMMO's do actually start to die out once they lose their F2P playerbase, cause that's a decent chunk of the population, the economy shrinks drastically and F2Pers participate in trade more than P2Pers as we HAVE TO trade to get the stuff we want, whereas many P2Pers can buy a lot of the stuff they want directly. The result is a very crippled economy that ultimately crawls upwards and brings the P2Pers down too.

    Don't get me wrong, F2PMMOs die very slowly. I'm sure this game will be around for years to come. However, I sincerely doubt it'll ever be the same as a limited F2P market means fewer people can ever effectively get involved with the game, thus less people playing. I dunno if anyone remembers my posts here, but I used to defend PWI from the complainers. The 3rd recast r9 update though? Yeah that killed it; THIS is where I start complaining (or would if I hadn't quit). There's simply too many options for cash shoppers to buy their gear directly with even MORE limited options to farm your gear as a F2Per. I'm not really in the mood to become a slave to this game just so that my gear can be sub-par, so yeah, I took my leave already.

    Archosaur has barb with R9r chest that I know of and I heard some archer got G16 R9 but Im seriously doubtful it`s anything more than wep atm. Or it might simply be some rumor, who knows.

    on sanctuary theres some1 who got 3 (to my knowledge) active chars, all of them full r9, at least +10 (barb/cleric/wiz), wiz is full r9r2 +12 with josd (except chest), his barb got +12 r9r2 weap

    theres also a cleric with full r9r1 who is.."working" on r9r2 atm (not that hard when u got r9r1 already), and a lot of others working on it as well..

    Wishess (105 Barb on Lost City) just recently completed the Rank 9 recast set and all of it is +10-12 from the last time I saw his character.

    well from what i understand the MY version has Wedding Candies in the boutique, if thats the case we could have that as well and they could implement the wedding candy system and it wouldnt have a direct effect on token prices anyways. Also if the GMs really cared to let people get the r9 3rd cast or Omen cast they'd give me and known free rank 9 initial cast +12 full vit gems IJS :D

    also i know mono has full s2 set, CrystaLu's demon sin has 3rd cast daggers(there sage sin still has stage 2 rank 9 dags last i saw), OnTheEdge has 3rd cast daggers, SlayerSin has 3rd cast r9 belt(not so hard but eh its still 3rd cast) Demoralyzer last i saw had all piece of his rank 9 stage 2 cept the axes. ALot of GD have trolled about it, but none have really put forth effect into it, most effort they got is looking at the clock for weekly farm killing, its not tw its farm killing get it right. When you cant slow down and have fun in a tw thats 1v1 its not tw xD. Hoju next time you fight us in xWaRx 1v1 try to make it more even. Like send 2 squads of fully decked out +12 r9's instead of 80 xDDD

    hummm what comes to my mind when you talk about token price going up and gold skyrocket, is that the new pack that came out, I read a lot of people complaining it's harder to get valuable stuff. Like 5% instead of 10%...

    It's probably the way there gonna saturate the market. 200 pack for 50$ and 50% less chance to get valuables...

    Sound like a balancing strategy to me !

    ( But for real, there not gonna sell 2x more at less it's still gonna be 100 for 50$ )

    No, it would completly and utterly destroy the economy for everyone that's not rank9 cashshopper, because all free to play players rely on cheap tokens for every day things

    If doubling or tripling the price of dirt cheap consumables like MP food or hyperstones is gonna break your bank, the problem is on your end. Learn to earn. A shifted economy will close some doors and open others, nothing drastic is going to happen, people will adjust and carry on.
