Barrier Thorns or Pangu?

Barrier Thorn Advantage: My sin would be 5aps at cost of lower damage(Pure build). He has r8/Morai 101 daggers and they hit like trucks tho.

Pangu advantage: Can be shared with my sage BM to make him 5aps(With sage Cyclone Heel), will make my assassin 4aps(Demon assassin).

I have enough gold to refine barriers to a good +7 or so If I went that path....

I post this on Assassins forums because I mostly play my assassin more then 75% of the time.

I would say Pan Gu, Creator, for a few reasons.

Firstly, Pan Gu, Creator is tradeable. It provides you with a tradeable piece of equipment that does not lose its value, so it's less an expense and more an investment.

Secondly, 5 aps is overrated. It only does one of two things. If you're sparking exactly once every 15 seconds, then it provides an increment in DPS. If you're sparking as soon as you get 3 sparks, then it's providing safety via more time spend in immunity.

Thirdly, Barrier Thorn: Nirvana isn't that great a weapon.

Let's use this and this as our basis. With that, I get the following numbers:

    Barrier Thorn: Nirvana: 162,924 dps
Blades of Bloodlust: Sky: 169,969 dps

This is with both weapons at +10, sharded with 2 Garnet Gems.

Also, obviously the Blades of Bloodlust: Sky has vastly superior DPH:
    Barrier Thorn: Nirvana: 10,150 - 12,125
    Blades of Bloodlust: Sky: 13,453 - 15,954
I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.

Because in a perfect world there are no stuns, sleeps, seals or reasons to build chi faster when non erupted.

I wouldn't even use the R8 daggers when I still had the +6 2 sock H&T, but I was also sage / pve only.

Stuns, sleeps and seals aren't exactly common in PvE, nor are they a problem. Tidal Protection for the win.

Gaining chi when not erupted? I dunno, I don't find myself using too much chi when I'm not constantly sparking.

Rationally, I'd consider tome the better option. A sin doesn't need aps that much and the dph would be a be an advantage in any place other then nirvana. You also have a bm, so pangu would serve both.

Looking at it from a community/squad-looking angle, G13 nirvana would be the better choice. Being 5 aps has the biggest advantage in how others look at you. Out of the 3 weapons you state, G13 nirvana will be easiest to pass a weapon-link. Morai weapons are considered cheap-*** and r8 basic.

So your call really. I voted for tome because it is what I would do. Both decisions have their advantage though, up to you what you consider more important.

This might be an issue for BM's, but not for sins
