Lack of RP elements in game.

Most of us know that the game we are playing is classified as a mmorpg, Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. Relative to other games of the same genre, pw doesnt have much Role Playing elements in it. I mean we need more inn type places where we can gather, maybe housing, more emotes, chairs can be sit on etc...

trollings aside, every MMORPG has lost the sense of Role-Playing, they're more like evolving and statistics games. Besides, housing system has interfaces ready and installed in our PWI clients, though not working yet. Planned to be working this year or the next... Or never >_<"
Wanmei is trying hard to fix Perfect World not only as a evolving and statistics MMORPG but also a Role-Playing, though that demands time and hard work and overall: MONEY. Thus, let us be patient and keep on waiting for incoming improvements.

When I'm traveling around the map, I always come up with a story/reason behind certain locations, wraiths and events (especially those with very little explanation), and reasons for my character(s) to visit those places. Making up stories and personalities for them to act on is also pretty fun, though its a bit challenging keeping up appearances with others because of the usual responseb:chuckle

One time I pretended I was a ghost and "haunted" Etherblade in stealth. It was funny when some of the newbies were trying to find me. And others were playing along. Some people asked me questions I tried really hard to give wild answers. Like I was the ghost in mario brothers' but the not one in Luigi's mansion. That ghost was my idiot cousin.

Lack of? No, you mean complete absence of I think. When was the last time you heard of someone reaching lvl 105 being an apothecary? That's right...NEVER. Basically if you do anything but grind and spam instances constantly you will never reach endgame, how is that a role to be played? I am not fooled by this sham of game.

The xp curve is nice, it doesn't widely increase at higher lvls and crafting gives great xp. Even the mass PvP allows you to lvl up to max lvl. 8/28/12

But anyways on topic....

Role Playing is a choice of playing a certain way, putting yourself into the position of that character and making decisions in the game like that character would make.

And so yeah you can Role Play in the game np, it's a state of mind after all, but since powerlvling isn't exactly productive for the RPing state of mind not many people do.

UGH then count me out! I was interested in that game but anything that gives you max level on a silver platter is just gonna bore me really quickly. Seen what happens with that in this game. Not gonna jump into that again. LMAO at crafting your way to max level .

I decided to go ahead and pretend I was a fish that would have a magical friendship with anyone who just believed in friendship hard enough. All they had to do was find me! Of course, I was also in stealth mode and in etherblade. b:sin

I edited out names/world chats/faction chat/etc. It was actually about 5 minutes or so before I actually revealed myself and the name I blurred out in pink "found" me.

I usually dress up as my character and wear my cape that I got for my birthday the year before last year when I play pwi, and when my skills are casting I close my eyes and do the movements with my hands ( healing trance is probably my favourite move to act out), also reading aloud what NPCs say and maybe making up a voice for them based on how they look helps you to feel like you are part of the game it all comes down to if you believe or not. sometimes if I'm struggling to believe I have my mom pretend to be the npcs and when I close my eyes it sometimes feels like im a perfect world!

I had my mom pretend to stab me with a cardboard sword that I made actually for the lord of the rings movie night we had last year and i pretended to die I was rping as goshiki
