Is R8 Good for Clerics?

Where can I find cost? Beside the 72 Gold to attain 200k Reputation?

When I reach 100 (I'm 94 as of now) I'll have enough Gold to get Rank 8, but I was wondering what else you need.

Do you have to buy the equipment? How much it cost?

2mil for the weapon.
1mil for the chest / legs / belt

~20mil for the wrists and boots

The base rank 8 weapon and chest piece are nice. Pants are utter garbage.

I don't get it when people ask questions like this... Yeah, R8 is good. It's better than 99 gold, also better than anything with a lower level requirement... Hope that helps :P

I wasn't sure, because there's Nirvana too... maybe I can just get that :P

It's my first lvl 96 Cleric, so not really sure what to do. I might have the coins for R8, but who knows, maybe it was worth it to just to for Nirvana gear instead!

Because if I get R8, should I make it my endgame gear or not? Refining costs.

There are 3 steps to crafting Nirvana weapons:

Recast - takes 100 rapture crystals. During this step you have the option of selecting a G13 Nirvana weapon in the same family as the base weapon. For instance you can make a G13 Nirvana slingshot out of a gold TT99 crossbow. TT100 weapons skip this step. The G13 Nirvana weapon has the same stats as the most similar TT or Lunar weapon but comes with higher base damage and a G15 refine. The appearance is changed in this step.
Quench - takes 150 rapture crystals (230 crystals for TT100 weapons). The weapon becomes G15 at this step with even higher base damage than recast. The G15 weapon is given 3 random stats during this phase, one from a primary pool of stats and two secondary stats from a separate pool
Reforge - takes 7 rapture crystals. For this optional step all 3 attributes of the G15 weapon are rerolled. The sockets, gems, and refinement are always transferred in this step.

(This also makes the weapon grade 15 instead of 13 which is better for damage / healing) You then can keep reforging this to reset your 3 attributes on your endgame weapon for something you'd rather use.

All weapons get 1 unique addon and 2 regular addons. What each weapon gets for a unique depends on the type of weapon. (wand/magicsword/pataka/glaive)

Endgame gear will never be cheap, however in the long run it is always better if that's what you're seeking. To that note though... Unless you can get the 250 raps (Each server price is different for us it would cost you ~375mil) for the G15 Nirvana at the least, you might as well just get the R8 weapon for 73 gold and 2mil to buy the weapon from the npc, also the R8 chestplate is a nice piece to get for only an additional 1mil coins.

By the time I'll be 100 I think I'll have enough coins.

I don't really want to waste 72 Gold on R8 when I can get something better. Might as well farm straight for that thing.

Well the perk to R8 as well is if you recast it, you can get some nice bonuses too, however that's a bit harder to obtain the materials for what you want. (Usually the Defense level + unique addon.)

The perk to The Nirvana is then you can further turn it into G16 which is the best weapon in the game short of R9 recast/2nd cast.

If you do decide you want nirvana after doing some research in the cleric forums.

I'd avoid the magic sword as you don't need attack levels or crit
I'd avoid the pataka as the pdef add is just silly...... and you don't need attack levels.
I'd suggest the glaive or wand for the high channeling. (Personally I'd say the Glaive over wand for cleric)

Yes it is, but I rec0mmend farming nirv gears if p0ssible and keep ur wep.Unless y0u want t0 be a minus chan build.Then keep the t0p then get stage 2 nirv pants.

I do have some coins left, and I just prefer to farm Nirvana.

Even I once I get 100 I don't get to Nirvana squads, I'll just merchant it and do BH Daily. My Faction is quite good and I'll get the help I need.

Besides no point in going R8 if there's something better and it's not R9, since, well, we all know how much R9 costs.

So I'll just need some time, some Nirvanas, some BH, and high farming time!

most clerics on our server are either Nirvana, R9, or mixed. keep that in mind.

Get r8 for the wep/ring/top. You can recast the wep later for potential def levels/purify/infinite add-ons and the ring/top are good in-betweeners before you get Lunar ring/Sky Cover and Nirvana/r9.

g16 Nirvana wep is just not that good for a cleric because, overall, you're not going to be taking much advantage of the atk levels from the wep at all unless you just want to be a fail metal mage.

If you are a good cleric yes, if you are a bad cleric R8 weapon won't change it.
