Hi, me and my friend have low lvl chars (lvl 40) and want to try to play in a small party. He has Barbarian a I can choose BM of Assassin. All chars are only for fun - no top equipment and no high lvl future.

What do you thing is better in this small party?

I think you should go back to summer school and learn how to write and spell.

imo, i prefer BP nowadays. it's 1 more way of survive without clerics/mystic. also sins can use rib strike to slow boss/mobs atk rate, so it's always safer.

BMs have their HF, also a defence buff but it won't work vs a magic boss...

so for me, safer > faster. ;)

    ps: ignore the haters ;)

They're asking about fun, and well I think BM is a bit more fun. Low level/ poorly equipped sins kinda suck.

PWI forums hate's apostrophes, sometimes that will end your post right there.

I agree with Blood. The paint will help more than the bm buff, since you'll at least be getting heals where with a bm it'd be all pots and charms. Also, things will die quicker with a sin in squad (usually) and rib strike is awesome for tanking.

Lastly, there are a million sins around and sometimes finding a squad can be difficult because when someone WC's they're looking for a DD, 48 sins all reply. You're more likely to get a WC squad with sin+barb together.

I think everyone missed this. Until high aps + refines BP is not enough to keep you going without pots/charms anyway. If you want to have fun go BM and you can run around duo aoe-ing things. See how many you can get at once etc. BM stuns are going to be infinitely more useful than BP at that level of progression.

I think most of us build our character with potential endgame in mind. Sure at level 40 bp isn't that useful and stuns are, but 60+ it switches, which is the bulk of the game.

That's fine, most of us do. But the OP specifically stated that they were just for fun with no high level in the future, so we may as well answer HIS question, rather than what we would do ourselves no?

Till lvl 38 we played Barb with BM. It was slow, expensive (armor repair prices) and too hard against magic creatures. And when you fulfil quests, there are always some of them.
AoE and stun strategy could be fine, we will try (if I learn it properly). But in water/air could be a problem with "estimation of distance".

In Barb with Sin I see the benefit of better M. def and faster kill of magic creatures (I hope, not tried yet). In this case (with sin) is Barb better in human form (with Mighty swing and Penetrate armor) or in tiger form (with Flesh ream and Devour)???

Well tyvm, we will try both combinations and will see. Tyvm once again.

It will be fine, but not real. We have another main chars with a little higher lvls. Barb and BM or Sin are about 3rd of 4th in a row for playing.

If you dont want to go high level and just play for fun try all the classes doesnt hurt, different people have different opinions i personally love playing barb its the only class ive ever played (apart from sin but i plevld it for farming vana during 2x only so never actually play it)...

Try a barb and BM and Sin watever u like more stick to it..

    Barb + sin.

It's not the same, but I got sin with barb and a bm on other account. I always use the barb over the bm. Barb (especially disregarding aps builds cause of the lvl and "no top gear" comments) and sin are pretty much opposites, which makes them a good combo.

Also, on most instances/places/events you will have either the barb very wanted and the sin secondary or even unwanted (fcc, bh69, rebirth, ...), or you have the sin very wanted and the barb not needed (nirvana, pq, ...). If you stick togather, this will be an opportunity for both.

However, don't just go with the sin because ppl say it's the better combo. If you prefer another class (bm or any other), roll with that. Choosing a class just on utility perposes is no fun.

EDIT : Seems there are 2 different apostrophes. The one on my azerty keyboard ends posts, the one on my querty doesn't. Seems to be the one used for "accent grave" is the bad apostophe, and the one for "accent aigu" doesn't interfere.

since your Friend has already rolled a barbarian.
Best duo in my view would be Barbarian and Psychic.

Sins are far too squishy in any Lvl range, and BMs will not help much on boss'.
Psy on the other hand have the Best AOE damage, and Magic mobs will not be a problem with them around. also they have great skills to help tank most boss situations; heals etc.

I played with a barb / psy combo since lvl 1 with a friend.
    awesome combination.
