I love perfect world, always used to play it.

I understand the basis of the F2P model, but im wondering is the gold exchange in the auction house is still up?

id love to play the game again. but im wondering if i can still get everything without using the cash shop? or would i have to use the cash shop to be on par? (Not in terms of exp boosts and flying mounts and what not)

Depends on what you like and what you're willing to do. If you can't/won't merchant but love being the best in PvP, I would have to say absolutely not. If you just want to have fun squad with others, improving your gears. Absolutely it is still worth playing. If you only want to pvp sometimes and are willing to take the time to farm/merch to get better gears and have patience. Yes, this game is still worth playing. IT really all depends on you.

im a long term player, so doing whats needed to be the best wont be a problem, makes it more rewarding if i work towards it right?

im thinking of making a psychic, are they viable to pvp?

Yes, the fish classes (psychic, sin) are considered OP in PvP. That's about all I know, general knowledge about what people consider to be good. Don't have much first hand experience though. If you want more information your best bet is to ask in the class sub-forums.

Speaking from some psychic pvp experience. I'm not a cashopper, and therefore don't have all the super superior gear that most other pvpers tend to have. I do love my psy, but she tends to always get mauled before I can blink by some R9. So after some time in pvp mode I decided to switch back to blue named. But psys are very good pvp wise, but very squishy. Just gotta watch out for all those beast R9 pvpers swarming and dominating everything.

and why should a non cash shopper complain about cashopped r9 i do not understand the mentaillite when you can pk all but r9s

just becouse ur class is op dosent mean you should be op without the gear to pk r9s

your class still op if u compare ur class to other with simular gears so again why should not r9 kick ur but all day long

For the same reason you don't hold a golf tournament and then declare yourself the winner and keep the money for yourself. It's a joke, isn't fair, and defeats the entire point. You should be cash shopping to get an edge on others, not to afk in archosaur because nobody else can play with you.

I have no problem with those who got R9, it would just be nice if me and my friends who are all similar geared, pvping with each other weren't constantly being picked off and farmed by those 20 times stronger than we are every 2 minutes since we are all easily a one shot to all of them.

I do think the game is still worth playing, though you may notice some slight differences. Many have remarked in other threads that the low level areas are often quite vacant; you may find this good or bad depending on your preferences. Also, lower bh squads can be difficult to get together. If you plan on levelling via the traditional route, you may find yourself playing alone quite a bit for a time.

If you find yourself super rusty due to having taken so much time off, don't worry... so many people are power levelling their characters before learning to play their class that you probably won't stand out a bit. b:chuckle

Gold can still be bought and traded, there's more fashion to choose from and go broke over, and a new supply of hilarity from all the horns (see countless horn threads).

tl;dr: Yeah, give it a shot.
