Seeker vs Barb

Hey guys

I am a new player of '' PWI ''. I was a bit confused in the begining about what class I should choose and ended up wanting a seeker or a barb. I am opening this thread basiaclly to hear your opinions. This is a '' VS '' thread between these two classes.

  • PVE Squad
  • Easy to play
  • Fun to play

Rate 1-5 above and try to give me ur opinion.


PS. What server is better to play. I have checked and saw that '' Sanctuary (PvE) '' and '' Heavens Tear (PvE) '' are both pretty popular. Which is better to play, more populated, more ppl who are lvling, active ... etc ?

    Between the two I really think the seeker is more fun to play. They have great AoE's and a nice variety of debuffs.

    A nice population on a server is always good for new players since there is a better chance for them to find squads for thing and get quests done. If you really want to PvP a lot than a PvP srever is a good choice.
    Scissors cuts paper, paper covers rock, rock crushes lizard, lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes scissors, scissors decapitates lizard, lizard eats paper, paper disproves Spock, Spock vaporizes rock, and as it always has, rock crushes scissors.

    Barbs are boring at low level...they kill slow and since very few quests together anymore i think seeker wins here hands down but barbs are the most sought after for bounty hunters and other squad related quests

    Barbs are a lot easier to understand. Seekers are complicated but if you master Seeker, they are really deadly in PvP.

    Plus Seekers have much better graphics than Barbarians.

    I'd suggest you just make both, and test the waters abit

    I agree that barbs can be boring at lower levels however most people are leveling fast these days. I opted to power level mine since I wanted it for buffs, but ended up really enjoying playing it.

    Barbs are in high demand atm. Seekers are in demand for Rebirth, but that's mostly by ignorant squad makers and Seekers that just plain don't want to go. Seekers aren't as cheap to bring to RB as a competent Wizard, Mystic, or Psychic.

    When making a squad; I have yet to request specifically a Seeker, but I'm very often requesting a Barb.

    PVP - if this means TW then range attackers, wiz/archer/psy. otherwise sin.

    PVE Solo veno, mystic, after 99 sins can have enough interval gear to be the best soloers.

    PVE Squad barbs and clerics are the most wanted up to end game. after endgame they lose their importance, but barbs lose more of it.

    Easy to play seeker
    Fun to play seeker

    note: I haven't tried mystic, many people say its the funnest class.



    I'm not sure the most populated server is the best for a newbie. I switched from RT to archo, the least populated server and I see more people in the questing areas on archo.

    One point laloner left out: Assassins take a huge fortune to make a solo class while Mystics are cheap. If you have the fortune though; Assassin by far.

    Can anyone comment on the reletive cost of seeker v barb to be reasonably useful ?

    ok barbs are way better than seekers. Yeah I know the aoe bla bla of seekers if you all do not remember that barb named Zeus agains 3 R9 people (sin, psy, and SEEKER) here is a little refresh:

    Both of their pros and cons. If you got the time/money to sink into this game a Barb way outshines a seeker. Seeker just have flashy cool moves and can be quite a good support role. Barbs when built and played right are THE most powerful class around. They can take a lot of punishment as well as dish out some as well. I've played both and overall I personally enjoyed the Barb more even though I hate being a tanky class and enjoy being a DD. (Both kinda are tanky) If you're looking for a cost effective class seeker is the way to go. Since they aren't the primary tank like barbs are (until APS takes over at end game) they have a lower cost of maintenance.
