About r9 3rd recast

so i did my bow 3rd cast, costed 2205 chiekung stones, 800 for refine, 405 for sockets and gems. i saw somewhere that for gear is 100% 4 sockets, meaning u can use chiekungs but if u dont use it will come 4 sockets regardless.

this means using stones or not using is same thing? because that feels kinda dumb xD i hope i didnt use like 200 chiekung on bow for nothing and need info so i plan to recast armors. post if u know something b:thanks

But why would that matter when you need to keep the sockets if you want to keep the shards?

Unless of course you're running around in unsharded recast R9.

Wtf the bow is 800 to keep a +12? Bah that's really lame. It should have been 500..
Can you post a screenshot of the reroll chienkun costs? Is it still 100+27+24?

If you skip the 133+240 you will have 4 socket unsharded +12 r9 3rd cast.

Do you need chienkun to keep shards and ref from r9-r92?

Does recasting r92 or r93 require tailor/blacksmithing skills?


What stats did you get on your bow? If you're planning to reforge for different r93 stats does that require more chienkun? Or just the essence and badges?

lol for my r8r i made them early and used chienkuns to keep 4 sockets (85 ea) but in fact you dont need any for socket.

sent in tickets, PWE staff gave a reply showing how little they understand of their own game and no refund b:sad

Here is a good question related to this: cost of total refine from 1st to 3rd recast rank9:

I have full set +12 and all JOSD rank 9 first cast and I spent all my money already.

For transfer alone: it would cost

Armor ref+Armor shard+weapon ref (replacing saphire with ice shard anyways)
4x500+4x60+800=3040

with the transfer stone sale, it would cost $1500 to transfer the refine and shards.


Sounds cheap, is that right?

Pretty sure he meant going from G11 Sapphire to G12 Sapphire. The G11 is still called "Sapphire Gem", whereas the G12 is "Icebourne Stone".

I just wanted to ask. In the pwi database it says that it comes with 4 sockets 100%. Does that mean that i do not need any chienkuan stones to keep my 4 socks?

You would lose the gems you have sharded if you don't retain the sockets. If that's not a problem for you feel free to ignore the sockets.

So basically there's no point to use chienkun on weapon. even during chienkun sales, it would cost about as much as +12ing from 0 and resharding.

i find it useful to use chienkuns on rerolls, because its rather cheap (ie to transfer a +6, it only costs 4 chienkuns, while +6 orbs themselves cost about 15-16mil). Unless you have a really high standard for rerolling and expect to roll several times before you get what you want (which might ultimately cost too many chienkuns), you may consider using chienkuns.

if you have no gems in your gears, the sockets are NOT worth keeping at all, because they will come back to u for free. however, since u must keep the sockets in order to keep the gems, once again on REROLLS you may want to keep those gems, since the cost is pretty low in terms of chienkuns, but to keep them in the weapon during the REFORGE, it is almost never worth it.
