I feel this topic has been so de-railed it can't be put back on the right track -_-

Yes I am struggling to remember what the topic was.... Oh yes, What would it take for the PWE staff to listen to it's player base? Hmmmm a mircale comes to mind. To be fair they do listen, but we are a thousand voices with a thousand opinions. We have had some pretty bad failings, but not all of those are PWE's fault. So here's the real question, What would it take for the Playerbase to treat the staff with a small bit of respect to get some mutual coroperation and all around better environment?

And to all you idoits arguing back and forth about legit/nonlegit 105s no one cares. Yes there were legit ones, heck I know 2 people on RT that bought Orcales and used them to get to 105, cost them a few billion coins and took 2 whole months of doing nothing but orcales, but they did it without FC. So who cares.

    Aaaaand?

    Original Topic:

PWI's communication effectiveness with it's player base.

    Responses:
-They can listen all they want. But unless they communicate this, the players have no idea.
-BH change was not a fix. If they claim it was a fix, thats insanity. Some of the BHs they fixed were fine...it was an enjoyable thing to either solo, or group up for. Hell I enjoyed WCing "5 Spots open for BH Aba, meet at peach and just stand there."
-Zorac is right, a little bit of respect goes a long way. Ive had some wonderful conversations with Mods and etc.
-I still think you can't blame the people behind the postings from PWI. Its the constraints of their job description and what they have the power to do or respond to.

Well I'm sure they have 1 or 2 people that's job IS to listen to us lol. However those people then take the suggestions and the problems and look at them in relation to the Chinese version. If the suggestion would NOT be good for their version then no doubt in my mind they ignore it completely. If the problem is one that barely affects their version (goonz) then they don't put it high on their priority to fix. Where as a problem that does directly affect their players (r8r recast spheres) they get a fix pretty quick. (Though I don't think they have many people with r8 recast on their servers)

I don't think they don't want to listen, but they do only give serious attention to things that effect their version of the game.

Why does it matter who glitched and who didn't, most of you are hyper FCC **** anyways, as if that somehow makes your opinion any more valid.

why are you derailing the thread again when we were trying to get it back and track. And the fact that you can't state an opinion without name calling shows how much your opinion is worth.

If you guys want to speak about lvl up, FC, FF or FFC and glitch start a new thread or go post in one of the 123 threads already speaking about that, the actual thread is about PWI staff.

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Yes. I also punch wheelchair bound people in the face and laugh at them.

And I agree that this thread should get back on topic. I officially declare that this thread is no-longer a Steopie fanclub discussion and is once again a discussion about PWI staff and their communication and interaction with the PWI community. b:victory

So after reading most of the thread it seems like the biggest complaint is that the mods are not in the face of forum users.

Soooo would a solution be to have a Mod/GM post in every thread on the first page just so it gives the appearance that they are more active in the forum community?

is that what is missing, the Managment hanging out with the players?

    I mean:

    GM's cannot:

-Release information on game content until they are told it is ok
-Provide sale details before the sale is released
-Fix techinical issues over night or at all
-Design new things that are not in the game
-Tell us ANYTHING pertaining to fixes without getting approval
    -etc

So if they can not do any of that, and from the looks of it people get that. What would be the solution?

So far it seems like a few people are saying, "GM's never reply to threads like this" Well a GM and 2 Mods have replied to this thread, so now what?

Idunno maybe I missed the solution when I was scanning through the 5 pages.. but right now this thread just seems like another pointless crusade with no real goal.

The GMs interacting with the playerbase, even to admit they are looking into something is a great way to foster a positive community spirit. The GMs of the past didn't always have the answer right away, but they did make an attempt to be present. And actually, it always brightens my day to see Genotypist comment on a thread even when he's just joking around.

A good example is the thread Mr.Melvin made asking for a the British fashion set to be sold. Obviously they cannot tell us in advance when, if ever, that fashion will be sold. But Geno made us all aware that PWE had seen the thread and were aware of it by posting a good natured joke. It didn't answer any questions. It didn't solve any problems. Because they can't do that with future sales. But still, he interacted with the community. And seemed to make a few people laugh.

Also, a mod doesn't speak on behalf of PWI, and I've seen them speak against it a few times. Think ChaoticShelly with the goon glitching.

So, I take it PWE will have to get their player base down to nearly nothing, before any action is taken? Wow, this could be a repeat of LoMA/HoTK/PW-MY, quite soon.

PWE should really get their act together and listen/retort to the community. The fact that there is one post per week by a random PWE staff member on these forums, none in-game, and live chat support doesn't exist... Pretty much tells me the game is closing in on it's inevitable time to be closed.

I wonder if they would actually close PWI before the entire company closes down. If PWI went, I would imagine they couldn't support their other titles and PWE's name would be a bit off as well.

Imo: they've catered to the whine butts too much. Just because they allow almost anything to be posted on their forum doesn't mean the majority of players agree with what's posted.

    -Not an honest assessment.
