    In his defense, it seems like the new G16 weapons cost 5 mirages each. Depending on the price there it may have been cheaper to just orb it than to use other refine aids + mirages.

    I still highly doubt it would end up costing more than a 5*, even when 1*'s are on sale (or those packs).

    Odds are you're probably right unless he has some pretty bad luck. Especially if Orbs were used for the other refines too. By the looks of the screenshot it was just for +5 though so if his luck was bad enough and prices were cheap enough it may have been worth it.

    My refines keep failing at +1, even with tishas or whatever I try, besides orbs, so yeah... that guy was smart imo.

    It wouldn't really help. The only stats with built in variance are the ones that are +18~19

    You have a tome, so lose one of the .05 interval and get str+19

    Or get str+45 tome for the BM you have...

    Well those dragon fire packs are making it pretty reasonable. I bought 40 of those packs of 9.36mil. When I finished combining them I had two 5 star orbs, one 4 star orb, one three star orb and about 3 one star orbs left over. 11450k is the current mirage price. For 9.36mil I could have +6 one item or +5 two items. I choose to +5 two items because I wanted to get my rank 8 top up to +5 and I am 19 cannies away from second cast leggings on my sin. Still when I look at the cost of +6 one item on warren wolfys guide after putting in the mirage and gold cost on my server, I see it would on average cost 9.713 mil. So it was actually cheaper and less hassle to use the orbs. I ended up getting lucky and +6 my +5 daggers with two mirages and a tienkang, so I was pretty happy overall with my refining experience using orbs. And those aren't even items that cost 5 mirages to refine.

    Of course, I realize that I got pretty darn lucky with the packs. But still....

    Ah, I guess I was thinking about r9r2 weapons that have a larger variance (8-20 dex, 10-25 attack levels, 3-6% crit for daggers specifically).
