Hi there,

building a BM, just wondering what people think of Dance of Goddess fists, and how do they compare to Regicide or Windpour claws?
Also, is -int even possible on the Dance of Goddess fists?

    Dance of Goddess

    Compared to Windpour or Regicide (same things, different paths)? So you want G15s compared to G13s?

    Fists have a narrower damage range than claws. Average damage is the same, but more consistant damage and less spike damage.

    G15s have a higher base damage but the same refine rate as G13s. Its the add ons that make the difference. G15s have a 10% chance to get - .05 int on them and a .5% chance to get -.1 -int.

    Fists with berserk out dd all other fists, but they're a double edge sword because they curse the user to take double damage. Assuming equal intervals they're around 5-10% higher than G15 claws with Revenge and R8r claws and around 15-25% higher than G13s. They're good enough for PvE assuming you have everything else decently refined, but are a poor choice for pk as you'll likely get yourself killed with a berserk proc.

    I'll just put this out there

    Striking dragon

    643-710(base damage) + 135 (+6 refine)= 778~845

    Windpour

    575-778(base damage)+ 208 (+7 refine) = 783~986

    Dance of goddess

    798-882 (base damage) +0 (non refined) = 798~882

    I'll keep it simple, 5 aps, average damage of each weapon. [(min dmg x 5)+(max dmg x5)]/2, this is non refined. That is the average damage they do in one minute.

    Striking dragon = 3 383 dmg in 1 second

    Windpour = 3 383 dmg in 1 second

    Dance of goddess = 4 200 dmg in 1 second

    Traceless Dimension (g16 claw) = 4 620 dmg per second

    That may still seem meaningless to most. I refined different weapons at different rate to bring the average damage as close as possible. The cost of refine vs the ease of getting the weapon will help in deciding some on whether to improve the fist/claw or not.

    Striking dragon = 5 388 dmg in 1 second refined to +10 b:shutup

    Windpour = 5 173 dmg in 1 second refined to +9 b:shocked

    Dance of goddess = 5 240 dmg in 1 second refined to +7 b:surrender

    Traceless Dimension (g16 claw) = 5 250 dmg per second refined to +5 b:cute

    For some of us the decision lies in the max that weapon can do for us. If we refine all weapons to +10, the following happens.

    Striking dragon = 5 388 dmg in 1 second

    Windpour = 5 723 dmg in 1 second

    Dance of goddess = 6 540 dmg in 1 second

    Traceless Dimension (g16 claw) = 7 070 dmg per second

    For me, the choice is clear for me, i went g15 claws a year ago. With the g16 claws being released, i will get those once i pick up the mold. This is not even looking at other adds, benefit of each different weapon. I only had -int as the useful ad on my claws, so going to g16 will not hurt me. Other people spent 100's of raps trying to get awesome ads, for them the cost of leaving is higher.

    The person asked a question, must be ready for the answer to. People could have come straight out and said, go SD, G13, G15, G16. That would have left the person wondering, what if.....? This way the OP can see a bit on what goes behind deciding what weapons to choose. I didn't include attributes, because they do complicate things. This points them in the direction of making a decision yourself, rather than having one made for you, based on personal constraints.
