What's the best genie for assassin and what genie skills should I get?

    Zeal or Discipline for the Genie. You want high vitality and high magic so you can continuously use the genie skills many times over and over.

    Tangling Mire
    Extreme Poison
    Frenzy
    Holy Path
    (Those four are a must, which ends up being a level 60+ genie. If you keep Earthflame on the Zeal Genie then you will need at least 51 LP for the five skills.)

    After those four skills you will most likely want Absolute Domain, but I can tell you now Sutra Power Orbs are a lot better than "hoping" you are going to have enough energy at the right moment to use Absolute Domain on your genie in the rare occasions you aren't pumping out Tangling Mire and Extreme Poison. So if you have a 71+LP Genie and have Earth flame still on it (which is valuable to say the least), the other two skills I would recommend is Occult Ice and Cloud Eruption (level 1 only). Occult Ice is self explanatory in most cases, but people will jump quick to say you don't need Cloud Eruption on an Assassin that is usually of high APS. I beg to differ, as I love playing my sin and get into many situations where using Inner Harmony and Cloud Eruption at the same time is usually less than one second to get 3 sparks, then to spark and throw in a Rising Dragon Strike before dishing out aps, you are going to have lots of chi. With a high Vitality/Magic genie you will then be able to regen energy very fast for that first Extreme Poison or Tangling Mire. As for me, I don't go with Occult Ice, as I don't want to rely on my genie to attack other people and hope it stuns them where it will never be 100% of stun. I would rather use my ability to use my skills on my character correctly and use the genie to increase my damage or abilities of my character without having to throw a fit if my 30-55% chance to stun didn't work. But, it would be nice to have in a rare occasion, just like Absolute Domain. Only one level is needed for Cloud Eruption. The more levels put into Cloud Eruption only drains your energy from your genie faster. Level 1 Cloud Eruption is one spark, which costs 500 stamina and 130 energy. Level 10 Cloud Eruption is one spark, which costs 500 stamina and 166 energy. Those last 36 energy points are not worth the chi gained when using in sequence with inner harmony. My own reasoning for using Cloud Eruption comes from being of value for the speed of the game play. Overdoing the speed in which you can gain in effort to play the game faster sometimes slows you back down to not benefiting much from it at all, hence having Cloud Eruption at level 1 is as far as I'll ever take it.

    To make a High Vitality/Magic genie, you have to do just that. You will want at least 60 points into Vitality. Everything else is put into Magic (around 70-90 points), which increases the speed in which your energy regens. This type of genie is not for a person who does not have resources to continuously keep the genie full with Stamina. Even still, it is a very fun genie to have as the skills are always ready to use or going to be ready very shortly. If possible use Genie Gear to bump up either the Vitality or Magic of the Genie. It's not exactly cheap as to make one +4 piece of magic genie gear takes 18 Warsong Emblems, which around 50k a piece (depending on which server you are on). It is worth doing if you can put the money into getting +4 or higher genie gears. I haven't really used anything less than +4 genie gear, but I would assume anything that will add more vitality or magic to the genie is good. What you are really after is about 70 Vitality and 80+ Magic. This will give you 170 Energy and a regen rate at around 2.7 energy per second.
