This may or may not help some people. If you do auto MS updates the recent MS Silverlight update will hang PWI. After my MS updates I could log in but I would hang at the Entering screen, even though I could hear the Arch music telling me I was in game. Deleting MS Silverlight solved that problem.

    Rather odd one there. I use Silverlight quite a bit, I keep it updated as well as all of my other software, including my OS, and I don't have any issues on 7 different platforms.

    My guess would be that there is a specific issue on your system causing a different problem. Silverlight really has nothing to do with the client at all and would not cause it to hang/fail/whatever by itself.
