Archer: classes to beware of

Hey, I was just wondering, in pvp, (1 v.s. 1 and TW), what classes should I beware of? b:shocked What is the best thing to do when battling those classes?

Archers can kill anything and can be killed by anything.
Well you'd probably not kill a barb, I guess.
In TW, an archer's worst enemy is another archer.
Followed by all the casters, cuz they can seal you, through your antistuns.
But yea, pretty much anything can kill you if they're good enough, or if you're bad enough, or both.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Disagree with it being another archer. Psychics and Wizards hurt more.
In PK against near equal Wizards if I keep my distance I seem to win. If they get close I die.
Psychics... well RT does not have too many pk pyschics. It seems like if they're refines aren't +12 I can kill them. If they're like LuciferV with refines, I just can't kill them.
Sins are a mixed bag. If I can AD > WoG+IG or Blessing of the Condor I can kill the better geared sins if my reaction time is true. If it is off well I nosedive.0 -
In TW in order for a wizard to kill you they have to set you up. A simple gush/pyro rotation isn't gonna kill you unless your gear is totally shet. Same with psychics. Psychics need you to stand still to hit you enough to kill you. So you can always see a wizard or psychic trying to kill you and, as long as you have genie/apoth available, have ways to avoid it.
Archers however can just pewpewpew you dead with quickshot. The lack of delay they have between autoshots as opposed to caster's channeling time can bypass your reflexes/charms/lag/whatever much easier than any caster.
We don't talk about sins. They are OP in 1v1 and if they can't kill you then they fail.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I think buff parties buffed with at least cleric buffs and assuming the archer is JoSD with the right genie it's quite an even match. Self buffed is just wtf though.0 -

I think you'd have to see the pyschics on RT that I am referring to. In TW it is mostly about getting stunned and the mage classes dropping their bombs. Which if I have my genie ready I can survive, but otherwise not... Archers as long as there is no big # advantages I can escape much easier.
And as far as your sin comment goes.. No.. sins are not all of that once you have 21k+ hp buffed 45 or 60 def lvls+ ...
Hurrdurr/boogiepanda does quite well against sins. And he has less hp than me, though he has much higher def levels.0 -

If you're going to put it that way then your worst enemy would be "things that do damage" which is pretty much everything... You probably think mage classes are more dangerous simply because there are more of them. Being stunned in a barrage is just as displeasing as being stunned in mage AoEs.
If I get caught out of position, a few casters aren't gonna kill me any faster than a few archers.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I don't get one hit from BoA unless HFed. Which means I usually have time to evac the scene. However, I do get 1 hit in group pk/tw from wizards+psychics depending on what is going on. +12 wands and pokeballs really do bigger numbers damage wise.0 -
ofc you dont know how a "pokeball" as u call it, hurt to LA, since u just a**kiss the only psy that actually pk on RT, which has over 50k SF.0

I'm not talking about getting one-hit though. I get onehit by wizards setting me up with a bunch of single target debuffs or HFs, and if I get HFed a barrage is just as likely to kill me. I don't simply die to random caster 2sparkers. It's possible that if your gear can't handle the nukes you'll get oneshot by them more, but even with full DoTs, I dont' find casters oneshotting me without setups.
Call it a difference in the situations we tend to play in, but I simply don't see casters being more of a threat than archers, except by the fact that they have seals to annoy me with. Yea they hit harder per hit, but they hit slower, and how slow they hit makes it easier to avoid death.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Oh hey there stalkerish Emoterea... Luci and I duel sometimes. Retto and I dueled as well. And amrd has top damage on me in TW from me getting hfed and him critting me. And I do seem to recall Lez in TWs in the past as well. So, yeah, I am fully aware of what +12 pokeballs do.

I agree with worst enemy other archers with R9. any enemy that can purge me, is not cool, cos then we'r squishy. There's no way to get killed by a wiz/psy with def charms and fullbuffs, there has to be another helping always, doesnt have to with another r9+12 archer, cos they can purge.
Full dot psy's +12 and me not having hp buff, only cleric buff and no def charms, yes they might 3 shot me. or 2 shot if no crit and then landing a crit ( due to not ticking charm frist hit, but crit next bypass charm >_>)
but to me wiz/psy is not what im afraid of in tw, unless multiple hitting.
In pk its another story, cos I dont use apoth or def charms there, so psy hurt me alot.105 - 105 - 105 (14th march 2014)

Wonder why people say another archer. Well, at least in a 1v1. When gears are even, a self buffed archer vs archer is pretty fun to me. I don't feel threatened at all by another archer in that case.
I usually have trouble with wizards and psys. Mainly because they usually want to fight self buffed, and I always agree because I am not all gung-ho about this stuff. Even though, say a wizard, has an awesome pdef self buff and mine is completely useless against it. I guess the odds are against me from the start, but if I win it just makes it that much better. If we are both fully buffed, I do feel a bit more confident.
And barbs... I don't even like fighting barbs. They are just boring as heck to fight. It seemingly goes on forever and and ever between me kiting and them waiting for an opening to use arma. Sometimes they get lucky and catch me with it, as time is on their side. Sometimes I just get tired of kiting or the barb gets tired of tanking and one gives up or goes all Leeroy on the other.
But yea, if fully buffed in mass pk/TW I don't like getting targeted by an archer. It just jacks up my flow. But then again, if an archer targets me in mass pk, then there is usually at least one caster and maybe a few others hitting me as well. I am not so much worried about the archer actually killing me. It is more getting purged while getting assist attacked by 3+ people. I say the most annoying thing in mass pk/TW is other archers and then psys because I can never seem to AoE without hitting one and getting silenced. That silence is even more annoying to me than sins.0
