Are The PWi Forums Dying?

I would like to know other players/posters opinion on the question of this forum.
Since the FC glitch final statement, it feels like GM activity has hit a new low, only on for maint notices, or a server crash, which even then, can take quite a bit of time for an official response.
As for forum users, less and less users post now, for example, the pace of threads being bumped from player replies has been quite dead during certain times, or slowed down. I remember when the forums were quite active, and even fun. Since I came back to play the game and use the forums during the Descent expansion release, it was obvious that things slowed a bit, but now it is even slower. Is this the slow silent effect of players finally quitting? Or is it simply due to finals being here around this time for high school/college students?
Now you see loads of players cleverly inserting other MMO titles in their post, which is funny, but even stuff like that got removed back then. Another thing is that necros are common now, did the Mods and GMs simply give up or got tired? It's surprising how they lock 1 thread, and leave open a few others that have been necro'd. Even the content of a few other threads, would have either gotten an official response, or locked, but are left untouched instead.
Would decreased forum activity have any relationship or indication of the in-game playerbase activity? Are the forums pointless at this point?

Things have definitely slowed down alot here. While it could be due to many having finals or busy with other matters, one cant be too sure how things are going to be here when a few highly anticipated titles launch.
Still, since many (currently active) players dont even care about this place and only come here to find info/complain, it becomes sort of noticable when forum regulars start to leave or become inactive.
The GM activity being low here isnt much different from it being low in-game is it? I've applied for it twice already (first one was more or less a forum event, second one was because another moderator suggested it). While I can think of more than a few reasons why they would reject me, I never even got a reply whatsoever on either of them.

These forums already have a feature that does that automatically, it's called ''auto pruning''. It's just disabled for some reason.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Oh, and we lost a mod so that's probably one of the reasons we see more necros. He used to be active when the others weren't as active. Kris is pretty much the talkative mod atm, tho shelly and fuzzy are still around. Its pretty obvious that the forums need a new mod though.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
