unable to purchase zen?

i'm trying to purchase zen and i'm currently unable to since i'm residing in Illinois why is this?
i'm very unhappy right now. Please help D:

When I go to purchase zen off my debit card it says, "due to legal restrictions, we cannot currently accept registrations from residents of illinois." WELL WHY IS THIS D:<
I never had a issue with this !

    Sounds like there is some new law in Illinois. Would be nice if they stated what it was exactly.

    Not sure what to tell you on this tbh, tho I think there was a thread before that had something similar happen in it. Might wanna try searching, tho I could be completely wrong and am thinking of another site entirely b:surrender

    Maybe there's something wrong with the billing from there, but if it's more of a "Illinois doesn't want you to buy zen with your card!" law, isn't that unconstitutional?

    though not exactly legal for purchasing but for other things it is.... you could mask your ip to another area in the united states and then buy your zen.

    Was there some kind of change to Illinois gambling law or something? Maybe they consider packs gambling now and won't allow people to use the net to gamble? Is Illinois one of those states? I honestly have no clue, just a random thought. It's pretty weird.

    the gambling stuff is different, this is not gambling. >w< but whatever it is i hope they fix it, and yeah i could go buy a card but its just easy to give them my card information then to get off my butt xD

    Well, I'm unsure why they won't allow residents of Illinois to purchase Zen.. it's possible it's an issue with a tax bill or something like that.

    Considering you are using a debit card, have you tried to sign up for a Paypal account and then attach your debit card/bank account to it? This is how I make purchases (including Zen) so I am not required to enter my debit card details on most websites. This may help you to get around the Illinois legal restriction it's mentioning.

    If you decide to do that, it may take a few days. In the meantime, or instead you could go to Walmart or Target or some other big-box store and buy a Zen card.

    Hope it gets fixed, it's pretty bizarre b:shocked

    yeah goofy thing is when i tried paypal it was all in french and it was pissin me off xD dunno why in the world it was french but who knows, it was having issues with my paypal so i was like whatevers < _ < probably go to the store and see if they have a dumb card.

    Well if you look at your credit card statement (at least mine did when I charged, yes I used to for fashion but I kicked the habit) it listed the charge as Professional Services, maybe Illinois is considering paying PWI prostitution.

    It looks like the issue is stemming from MoneyBookers not having a license to do business in Illinois. You may want to try a different method (e.g. PayPal/Google Checkout).
