BM and the r8 recast

So most of us have gotten rank 8, even if because we intentionally wanted r9 instead...and we got to choose a weapon. Obviously, rank 9s didn't go with the poleaxe...obvious reason is obvious. Some of us went with the sword to make ti cheap, some with pole for the sake of range against casters, and a quite small number for fist due to low dex requirement, good chi builders for axe BMs, really.

So, rank 8 isn't so new anymore, I've seen a lot of seekers with the recast full set, I've seen a few wizzies, an archer, even a barb...

But I rarely ever talk to a BM about weapons and hear about recasting rank 8...Now, don't get me wrong, I know not all of us are made out of money, but if you're in a good solid faction, you can get it done pretty cheap like I've been doing, which makes rank 8 recast quite easily obtained. Hell, trials are done enough (at least on my server) so that it's pretty cheap at this point, and yet even for aps BMs I don't see the recast top even. But this is understandable, since a warsoul of earth is cheaper than the Nirvana helm to get the +5 attack levels...

So here's my question to the rank 8 BMs, even us using Nirvana as endgame...

Is there any particular reason you aren't recasting your rank 8 weapon? I'm just curious, because you get some chances to get good rolls, but it also just might not be worth the risk to some people. Though, I know my recast axe, while is a fail roll, hits like a freight train compared to the normal rank 8...

    I am aiming for r9 weapon, already have g15 claws, so not sure what to make out of r8 weapon. I haven't chosen a weapon yet. Over time i plan to make two sets of r8r gear, one for tw and one for pve. So undecided on the r8 weapon i want.

    R8 recast allows for some awesome builds in the -int deparment if you get -int on boots, chest. You can switch to full HA gear, g15, and have magic def belt and neck.

    As an axe BM, I out DD, and out tank aps BMs since I can even still spark constantly with my genie...

    Somehow i doubt this b:chuckle, post a video of your next bh run. Assuming similar lvl gear, refine, don't think it will happen.

    You could always post a damage log of 5~40 hits. Graphics card are 20~100 dollars, just skip out on coffee and get a better card b:pleased.
