So I was uninstalling some useless programs today and I came across Pando Media Booster. I obviously used that to install this game because I don't really understand torrents. Just wondering if I can uninstall it or will it affect my gameplay? Thanks in advance :3

Can't hurt to try. Uninstall it and see what happens.

It's fine to uninstall it. When the time comes, if you need to re-download PWI or another online game, a lot of them will use Pando as a downloader for their client. When that time comes, it is typically re-installed anyways.

I would avoid pando media booster as much as possible. If you download another mmo that has this option, don't use it.
Pando media booster essentially leeches on your internet (can use anywhere from 10% to all of it) and can cause high lag along with a big internet bill... Even after downloading your game it continues to run in the background until you shut it off and/or reboot your computer.
Go look it up sometime. In a way, it's malware.

Yeah, I keep getting lagged out of the game or sometimes a blue screen when I play pwi after I downloaded it to this computer. I definitely have enough ram and I have 193 GB of space left on here so I know that's not the problem. But just in case, I decided to delete a lot of unused programs/disk defrag and then I stumbled upon that. after wording it like you did, though, is it safe to uninstall? I had to wait for defrag to be done before uninstalling it so I'm about to do it now.

It's not really maleware, it's just a typical torrent, after you download from a torrent you become a seeder, nothing odd about that.

But yes any torrent downloader you use, make sure after you download something to stop any sharing it does or it will slow you down.

Want to solve alot of my problems? On your computer Click - Start - now click - Run - now type - cmd - now type - format c: - If you are using Windows Vista or 7 please be sure you run as administrator.

Unlike the typical torrent downloader, it doesn't warn you at all that it's still seeding after your download. Also, unlike the typical torrent downloader, there is no reason for you to keep on using it or seeding it after downloading a game.
It's malware not because it harms you or your computer, but that it doesn't warn you that it's leeching on your internet. Any good torrent downloader would tell you which torrents it's seeding on and would give you options to limit that or stop it. PMB doesn't... it just runs silently in the background without telling you what it's doing. Only way to stop it is to turn it off manually.

Point is, PMB is an internet leecher and does nothing to warn its users to stop using it. The best you see is that PMB may use up a certain portion of your bandwidth, not all of it.

Just don't use it and use something reliable like uTorrent. b:lipcurl

Bubbles is right, whilst it's a typical torrent for people who understand it, for not-particularly-skilled PC users it's the equivalent of malware. It's horrendous and I don't get why it's even legal, it should flat out tell you in big capitals :/ (It does tell you somewhere in the small print, but few people read it.)

Additionally, not seeding on a normal torrent, at least for a while, is fairly rude, it's common courtesy to leave it open (If possible, if you can't then you can just drop it) to seed at least as much as you downloaded. Considering Pando leeches off a corporate server that has no intentions of doing anything else, it doesn't need help seeding.
I've quit excluding TW for my faction. But I still hang around to help out those who still enjoy the game under PWEs horrific handling and to have fun in the forums. b:cute
#Shame about PWEs absolutely craptastic handling of the goons glitching. Remember kids, there's no punishment for breaking the rules here!#
If you make a valid complaint, your thread will disapear. Don't post it here, post it on other sites where PW can't hide it.

Then it's time to actually do some work, start reading up, and learn a few things. You will only remain a PC noob because of your own failure to learn.
The way to install PWI without PMB is to download the torrent, unpack it, and run the install from there.
I recommend utorrent for torrent software, because it is less bloated than others and has some nice features.

The problem is that Pando doesn't perform the actual install properly and most users posting aren't knowledgeable enough to do it manually.

    Nice Necro...
Yes, it's just fine. Pando has nothing to do with running the game at all.
