Downloading Pando Problem

The site won't allow me to download using the "Direct Download" button.
I don't have Pando (uninstalled it) so.... I start it up on the administrator account and it says:

Pando Media Booster cannot be started. This can happen if the previous installation failed.

Would you like to repair the installation?

If this problem persists after reinstall please contact us at downloader@pandonetworks.com for further assistance.

Then, an option for either Yes or No. No matter what option I take, a few minutes in:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Line: 10
Char: 1
Error: 'xp1_i' is undefined
Code: 0
URL: http://m.xp1.ru4.com/meta?o=62795&_t=pando.cm

Soonthereafter, if I continue the install, my computer blue-screens out. Has anyone experienced or knows how to fix this problem?

Also, I have tried using uTorrent but all it does is install a very large, bulky, and useless Notepad file. It does not download an install program of any kind.

The utorrent method downloads a large .rar file. If you're seeing a txt document, you've got some extra issues there.

As far as Pando goes, I tried a couple of hours ago for testing purposes and it won't connect for me.

Personally, based on what you've said, It looks like you may have a corrupt OS, or a rather heavy infection going on there.

I would start by using scandisk, defrag and SFC file checker.

Okay, so I tried with uTorrent (again). It downloads as an .rar file with a notepad icon, and won't let me open with notepad (too large).

    It is called PWI_v621_Installer.rar

    Any suggestions?

You've tried to open a compressed file "rar" with notepad and told it to always open it with notepad. Use Winrar, WinZip or whatever is out there for compressed files to open it and tell your computer to use that program as the default utility for those extensions.
