Invisible cursor

I can't see my cursor when i get in the game. b:cry and i died because of it! I have already tried the invisibility thread and none of what y'all recommended worked. Help?

    I have heard of this before, but no one has given me anything to troubleshoot with. If I know what you've got going on there, I may be able to replicate it and find a solution.

    i'm not quite sure how to trouble shoot this. so if you have any extra questions after this let me know!

    i had to copy the files from my lap top to my desk top via flashdrive (because i couldnt get pw to download. didnt have any problems there.) once everything updated i couldnt see my cursor. it's not that it doesnt work, i just cant see it. it's like my graphic is missing or corrupted... and of coarse in saying that i'm going to try to copy over those files one more time.

    and it's not just once i've logged in. it's as soon as i click start.

    it also just occurred to me that with the trouble i had downloading perhaps i need to verify my data packs. that's what i'm doing right now. i also noticed that when i entered the game i couldnt land on the ground but i could land on a nearby ship. idk if that helps you any.

    That sounds like it's not loading the ground textures properly. Might try dropping the terrain slider. (It's pretty much on or off, dunno why they made it a slider.) Also, yes, that particular texture might be corrupt, so verifying could resolve it as well.

    i went through verifying. it says data pack one is broken, but when i go to re-download the game it just says download complete.... problem not fixed... do you have the files? i cant do much about the terrain slider till i can see my mouse. i also couldnt see the water. i could see it on the map i keep in the corner, but nowhere else

    I find that you typically just have to verify the files two or three times. It does not always find the problem on the first attempt.

    it varies by attempt. if i cuss the computer it get to data pack 2, if i dont it only gets to about the end of one. am i not cussing hard enough?

    I'm having the same trouble to with the invisable curser. I have been on PWI in a while and after 2 days of updating it it's finally done and when I play my curser is gone to. I'm sad that i can't play it anymore because of it b:cry

    Aside from corrupt files, I'm not sure what could be the issue causing your cursors to not appear.

    Unfortunately, so far no one has given me a shred of information that I can use to try re-creating the problem here and to attempt a fix for it.
    Stiffania, did you add the client's folders to the exception list of your anti-virus software and disable the active scan before patching? That could be causing you some issues there.

    i'll let you know how that turns out. i was certain i did, but i'll do it again.

    what sort of information do you need to recreate it. for some one who's not exactly savvy your request is a smidge vague.

    Computer hardware, Operating system/Service Pack, security software installed, browser versions, and I think that should cover it. It's at least enough for me to build a system and throw PW at it to see what happens.

    I'm using a Gateway NV78 Notebook with a Win7 32bit operating system, I had turned off all security software completely before downloading and installing/updating PW, though I use Norton. I'm using Google chrome and is up to date with the current version as of now. My PW game version is 632 according to the launcher. What hardware information do you need (I wasn't sure)?

    Any help would be very much appreciated, an invisible cursor from the moment the game starts running, makes the game much less enjoyable...

    Since you have Norton, did you disable Sonar or add the client directory to the exclusions list? (should probably do both)

    I can get the rest of the hardware specs off your model number. I'll poke into that, but my first thought is that it's an issue with Norton and incomplete files.

    After adding the exclusion and disabling Sonar, run the verify a couple of times. Also, because you are on Win 7, Be sure to set the client to run with administrator rights. (In compatibility settings for the program icon.)
