Practical end-game gear for alt.

Hi all, I've got a 99 demon EP alt who I seem to play decently and its time to start getting his end-game gear. HE WILL NEVER be r9. I simply can't afford it. Right this second he has 100k rep and a mixed bag of gear. He's got res orns ( 90 ) but he does have chan orns if thats better.
He's got 40ish vit ( white ) and about same str.
rest is pure mag.
He's not pk'r.
Nor am I a cash shopper.
My main is a EA and can't seem to ever find NV groups to get the pants.
I did manage to farm lunar for his pants but still need the gold mats to make the gold pants. He's got lvl 80? 90? rank pants right now.
He does have his cape and helm. I THINK he needs nv pants and boots with 99 gold wrists?

    Garnet shards on a non-PKing cleric seems a little questionable to me. It's a matter of preference, I guess.

    My cleric's current build is pretty much 90% the same (just missing the 4th map belt and tt99 boots). Same refines, same amount of sockets on average (only cits), same vit. It's fine for anything PVE.

    If you want to go about 160 mil further with your cleric, you could go for something like this. The addons on the top and pants are random, but even the worst case scenario leaves you with a pretty nice HP boost.

    why is there such a dramatic difference in those 2 builds?
    I'm thinking of lunar nv pants . Is that bad?
    I had totally forgotten about the giant necklace. He's got sky demon right now.

    Dramatic difference? You mean in HP? That would be due to the rank 8 recast top and bottom, which unlock a set effect of +900 hp.

    It might just be overkill for a PvE alt, though.

    I'd probably be tempted to switch out one set of garnets for another set of citrines, but that's basically it. From a PvE perspective you can go through life quite happily with that setup.

    Hell, it's nicer than what I wear and I do perfectly fine.

    No point in overkill on a PvE cleric imo.
