take a look in the mirror buddy. the results are representation of the people i interviewed. 20 different people each from 5 different servers. i play a r9 cleric as my main. i don't care about being the best, i like to help people. i made my cleric r9 just so i could help anywhere when needed. you can attack me all you want cause i am not looking for complaints about the complaints i listed. i am looking for a debate to widen my point f view or viable proposals that will be seen by devs when they read this.

20 different people is nowhere near a sizable sample size to say these are the biggest issues. And I wonder what question you asked them exactly, because the majority of the people I know do not care about server switching. Not only that, but server switching in general comes up far less often on the forums than most other complaints.

As for your restaurant comparison, I have been too restaurants that did complete overhauls of their menus. And I did inquire as to what happened with the old one. Every time they either were under new management, or they were wanted to experiment with a new menu to increase revenue. And you know what? If I didn't like anything on the menu anymore, I just stopped going. There are plenty of restaurants out there serving a specific type of cuisine. No need for letters to the managers, no need for sitting their everyday ordering food I didn't like and complaining about it. No need for a crusade to try and change it. At the end of the day, it's their restaurant. And if I don't like it, I can leave. They will go out of business if they don't get enough new customers who do like it to balance out the ones that leave because of the changes. That hasn't happened with this game. SO clearly someone likes it.

Oh and if used teles you are automatically biasing your survey results as well. Or spoke to people in world chat or in guilds. The most outspoken players generally have the same complaints, but that doesn't mean the majority of the game shares those views.

    Read your title again

    "Dying game"

Doesn't really sound you're fair an neutral with it,despite how much you try look"professional",your point of view its clearly biased.

my point was not to sound neutral. it was to convey the feelings of many in as few words as possible. i personally don't care and was happy to keep my findings to myself. i am pretty sure if i praised the gamed i'd be defending my points from people who feel this way, rather that the ones who fee like you. so what's the point? that those that invested the time to talk to me have an accurate representation of their gripes.

Lets face it, the game has alot of facets, so theres gonna be alot ways in which things can get put out of balance. Now your first statment has some merit. The Rising Tide Expansion did a number on the entire balance thing. And I was one of those dedicated (only gonna play a single toon) players. And it can be a very tough road when say your an archer. Now I complained how OP the sins were like most, then I finally tried my own sin and realized how expensive of a class it is to be OP. The OPs didnt get that way out of the Box, it cost them a ton to get that way.

And as far as Clerics go, what more skills do these guys need to get into a squad? They are the main component of any squad and every level. They can run casters nirvana and regular nirvana, while most players cant get into either.

Personally I love the latest expansion, things have been balanced a great deal. If your not happy playing, then I would say change your toon and change your guild, its very much a group sport here, that is unless your an OP sin.

in our neighborhood, we got the cook to go back. also unless the restaurant is so big time that people go there to be seen and not to eat [which the food doesn't matter anyway] the owners look after the patrons that bring them business. ask any owner and they'll tell you that's how it's done.

if you want i'll email you a copy of the survey, i have a behavioral science degree so part of my job is understanding populations thru a micro selection. 100 people are enough if you are sure to include a proper representation of varying race/gender, socio-economic status, activity levels and educational background and level of interest. to conduct a survey you use screening questions till you have your population representation to a reasonably accurate level then you get the to meat of it once you do. i set the question to be open ended rather than multiple choice and contacted those whose ideas when read could not be codified until fully understood.

You know any sane and intellectual person that's this bored would find something to do that doesn't actually, you know, bore them. With the amount of "yawns" this guy has typed I expect to see a random string of letters after his head hits his keyboard.

    This thread is pretty fail, so many of these =_=;;;

you are absolutely right. i was hoping i get some real debaters soon. i don't mind if you don't agree. just show me or explain where i am wrong or bring up some other points the we can discus and have a few viable proposals. but the undercover trolls need to try and squash any ideas that might bring to light the issues in a manner that would require a tangible solution

actually no, i like calling people friend. now i know you disagree....make some points that don't offend any involved or reading and explain to me why you think your points make the ones i posted invalid. keep it impersonal and be prepared to defend your points without feeling like you're being attacked. and let's just move on.

I've already said something interesting and relevant, but allow me to explain in more detail.

You want to fix the game? Forget it. Play another one, that ISN'T Chinese, and quit your whining. The game's been on a steady decline for quite some time now and the developers don't care what you have to say about it. So posting a thread like this is 100% a waste of time unless you can have fun with it.

Which is why it attracts trolls.

For your survey, did you use random stratified sampling?

What kinds of questions did you ask and in what were they worded?

I just find it hard to believe that "switching servers" and "upgrading midware" came up frequently enough to be in the top complaints but it doesn't appear Hyper FC came up at all despite the constant QQ about it in guild chat, world chat, and numerous people even taking the time out of their everyday to lure bosses to snowy village. I would suspect if you had a good amount of people it would have come up at least more often than "upgrade the midware" unless these are your own interpretations of the data that you collected.

I don't know for sure, OFC. But those two in particular jump out at me as something that may have resulted from a leading question of some sort. Or bias in the sampling. I mean I'm sure if you haven't really dabbled in coding/that sort of thing you are unlikely to know what midware even actually means.

Other "real" issues that will never be fixed since I'm pretty sure that you don't speak Chinese. So all of this complaining outside of a ticket, is really going to do you no good and there's no point in it. As a matter of fact, I doubt that even a ticket will do you much good.

first off midware is a general term for any programming that serves to kinda stick together or mediate between two separate and often already existing programs. A common application of middleware is to allow programs written for access to a particular database to access other databases. the participants didn't know what that meant [most of them at least] but they stated time and time again the old skills for psys and sins, the lack of aggro attention for barbs and a few other class skills needed to be changed. will researching as to why it hasn't occurred the mid-ware issue came up as the main reason why the have not. ergo they want the skills clanged but to do that you have to change the midware cause the old design team left. ergo, change the midware->change the game. save the cheerleader save the world. and we used random stratified sampling, to keep the relevant stratums and their actual representation in the population. we then used random sampling to select a sufficient number of subjects from each stratum.
