Hey guys, hope you can help. I've got a really old windows xp box with a P3-933.
It has worked fine for years as a catshop, and with this latest release it has stopped![:( :(](https://forum.arcgames.com/pwi/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
Its got directx as needed.
it will verify files and then when you click start it reboots the computer. IT's NEVER done that before. Any help will be greatly appreciated

That's an interesting error. It's is likely rebooting because you're getting a BSOD, but the default for the OS is to automatically do a memory dump and reboot the computer.
So here's what you'll need to do...
1. Right-click on Computer, select Properties.
2. Click Advanced System Settings.
3. On the Advanced tab, under "Startup and Recovery", click "settings".
4. Under "System Failure", uncheck the box next to "automatic restart".
Now, you will want to fire up the client, it will give you the BSOD, but now you will be able to see what it says. Here's an example...
If you look at that image, the section where it says "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL", farther down where it says "*** STOP: 0X00000001" and just below that the "*** gv3.sys - ADDRESS ....". You will want to copy down all of that information and put it into your reply here.
More detailed hardware information would be good too. So far all I know is what your CPU is, but there's many other components and their related drivers that could be causing the issue. Without that information it will be much more difficult to help you. I personally recommend using Speccy to get your info and publish it to the web so that I can see the details on your hardware and associated drivers.
Give me that info and I should be able to come up with a solution rather quickly.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I really appreciate it.... I know she's an old girl but we've been together since day 1.
I really can't get myself to euthanize her.
