So about 2 days ago, I decided to stop by in PWI again. I was thinking: Hey, let's go check my seeker alt, which was only lvl8.. Only to find out that.. my alt had inherited my old faction.. so...huh?

Deciding that I shouldn't let this chance go into vain, I'm willing to learn everything about how to manage a Succesfull faction

It's only tier 1, meaning that it's not that big of a deal, but what should I do as leader of the faction to get things going again? Any tips?

yeah... i passed it to my lvl 32 cleric, I know, it's low, but I still think i can make this work. It's not intended as a super highlvl omgfanatics guild, just for people who wanna be active etc.

I'm surprised the old leader didn't dissolve the old faction, since it's only level 1.

Any of the old members still active and in the faction? I'd guess not.

If you've got the coin to buy a few teleacoustics, you can try WCing to recruit. You won't usually get high quality recruits as many will jump to yet another faction in a few hours or days, but you might find a gem or two. Your best resource for potential recruits however is friends. I'm guessing your friends list is about empty, though, and it's harder to meet and make new friends at low levels than it used to be, what with everyone and his uncle being powerleveled to endgame.

Tips to be a good leader: Learn everything you can about the game. If you don't know an answer, know where to look it up. Valuable resources: this forum, PW Database, the wiki, Ecatomb's site.

Be willing to drop what you're doing to help faction mates with bosses/FBs (within your power... not much sense for a level say 40 cleric going to FB69 for instance.) Don't be bullied into helping with normal quests not in your level range though... if people need their hands held that badly, they probably aren't worth retaining.

I was suprised too, I mean, I thought the faction started out as some sort of .. joke. But then again, some older guys are still to be found in the guild list. Though, they haven't been online for a period...

as for my friends, they all sort of quit PWI, as I did for a while (stress for school/study/job) and it seems my friend list has dried out to offlines only. I'll be trying to get my hands on some tele's, I'm still owner of 2.50 gold in the boutique, but also of a good coin fortune. I will try to recruit some guys, and thanks for the links! They seem to be really helpfull. I'm just guessing that many people will think the guilds in a bad shape, because of the name, but hey, nvm that.

Thanks a lot of the tips.

Tip: It's a lot cheaper to make teleacoustics from tokens at the PWI Boutique Agent than to buy from the boutique. Either save the gold for other things, or sell the gold at the auctioneer.

also to start up a faction a good way to do it is to just start with a few friends that are in game and that way you have a few actives that you get along with

the only faction i ever made was with a few frineds but the other members came and gone it seems... the only ones i found that were good addtives were the ones i meet in instances or that a bumped into a few times and convinseds to join ... i don't lead the faction anymore i am now in a bigger TW faction but i figured i would put my 2 cents in
