Stuck at level 1 smithing?

I'm a level 29 cleric and I just decided to start crafting my items (since stash items are op up to now pretty much) and I'm stuck. Since I haven't crafted anything yet, my blacksmithing is still at level 1 with 0 exp. I know that I have to craft items to raise it, but the problem is I can't craft anything because the only weapons that appear on the manufacturing page are ones that require copper bars. I cant make copper bars because i need level 2 blacksmithing -_-

Go to a blacksmith at the major town you started in.

ie. Etherblade, City of Lost, Plume, Raging Tides, etc.

I completed the beginner blacksmithing quest that required 2 pig iron or whatever. Theres more after that?

You can only make the lower level stuff at the N00B towns.
At Arch and the higher level cities you can only make level 4 stuff and higher.
