So what is the hardest hitting dph sill that a sin has?

So in an attempt to one hit someone with a demon skill, what is the best one? What hits hardest? Far as I can tell in my testing it is my aoe earthin rift.

It's Earthen Rift indeed. Second strongest would be HH and third strongest Throatcut. ( I think)

Just a side note, since lvl11 headhunt is pretty rare ; lvl11 slipstream is really close to lvl10 headhunt without the stun but doesn't consume sparks, has short cd and is pretty easy to get.

That's also very true. And by hardest hitting after rift I meant level 11 HH, since both have the same damage adds.

Level 11 Throatcut hits harder than level 11 Slipstream if I remember correctly, but it costs a spark and has a longer channeling time. It has a decent cooldown as well, and the seal is nice, since it works against movement immunity.

Actually, I wouldn't necessarily say that Earthen Rift hits the hardest.

The comparison comes down to 300% Weapon damage versus 8018.1 damage, since both skills gets damage from Base and +100% weapon damage.

Weapon Damage, in turn, is your weapon damage, plus ornaments, plus other sources, not multiplied by anything.

For example, the weapon damage for this build is:
101 from Level
200 from Drakeflames
114 from Sky Cover
210 from Ring of Trauma
31 from Lionheart Necklace
1,510 - 1,909 from Catastrophe Stinger +12
Total: 2,165 - 2,565

Multiply that by 3 and you get 6,495 - 7,695.

Your total would have to be about 2,700 for Demon Headhunt to deal less DPH than Demon Earthen Rift. For Sage, you'd need 2,429, which is already achieved with the build above, but even that is only 66% of the time due to the spread of damage.

And of course you have to realize that since Earthen Rift uses weapon damage, it's not as consistent a damage dealer as Headhunt.

And obviously, higher refines favor Earthen Rift.

I, too, would've said Earthen Rift if I had to go by "experience". But then again, the amount of times I've used Earthen Rift has to be dozens of times the amount that I've used Headhunt, plus quite often when I'm using Earthen Rift, I'm also either sparking, use Chill of the Deep, using Subsea, debuffing the target or there's HF.

As I've said Olbaze, when you have a G16 grade weapon at +12 with massive attack levels, from experience Rift hits harder than level 11 headhunt. But with any other weapon HH hits harder due to its constant +8018.1 damage adder.

Though I haven't tested this intensively, I would be willing to put up a video testing Rift vs level 11 HH.
