As the orignal question was why go wizzy when u can go fishes: the answer is fishes are situational while wizzys have better all around defense and better all around damage-while fishes have some cases in which they are defensive and some cases in which they are offensive. Both have aoes and good damage, BUT their is no case for going fish 100% of the time which the original question was stated.

As I know White vodoo is better all around defense (independent from type of element), shields of Wizards are situational (they work : one against Earth and physical damage, second against Water damage and third against Fire damage), they have not shields against Wood, Metal damage.

Also psychics have better DPS in comparison with Wizards.

If someone say, that Wizards have Undine strike, then they must know that this skill useful (during attack of boss) in squad only and useless (better to gush yet once instead) if you are one caster in squad only.

debates like these can go on forever but the one thing that makes the biggest difference in how good the class is is how well the player is at useing the class. mages can be god mod and so can psys (to be honest any class can with r9 full of JoSD) but if ur not good at useing the class u can be outsmarted and loose. i say wichever class u can do the best with is the best class.

I agree. Player skill and equipment make a much bigger difference than class. I remember this same issue when I used to play Guild Wars. Once, I got kicked from a squad in Guild Wars Factions because the squad leader didn't like my skill setup (in Guild Wars, you can only bring eight skills into an instance). I had designed that skill build specifically for that mission.

After getting kicked from the squad, I filled up my party with AI henchmen and heroes, who are so stupid that they'll run around in circles not knowing which monster to attack. I completed the mission with the highest bonus reward before the other guy finished his mission (assuming he ever finished it at all).

The same thing is true in this game. These people who insist that they must have X class, or that Y class is the best, are the same types of people who would kick me from their party in Guild Wars. They didn't like my class or my skills, so they kicked me so they could replace me with the "perfect" party member. What these people don't understand is that how you use your skills and how you control aggro is often much more important than what skills you are using. In Guild Wars in particular, it is nearly impossible to maintain aggro control if even a single person in the party does something wrong.

cannot do caster without wiz? lol.

basically it boils down to what you want; something stable or something flexible? sometimes, even 50k pdef wont save you while being immune to pdmg will. or a well timed absorb-reflect. and since we are mentioning genie combos, i think that being immune to pdmg for ~67% of the time is pretty niceb:cute not that being immune to pdmg means that you cannot take any physical dmg... b:avoid

Lolol if you die with 50k p.def you have a big problem #1 ur cleric is really fail and DD without heal or #2 you are afk at a boss since 2 hours.

I see much more psy die way before wizz, and often i have aggro on them they die with just AOE.

That reminds me yesterday in caster with a psy R9, i got aggro on all boss all the time with my poor R8+6...`:D

Wizz are more wanted than psy, its a fact even if you dont like it.
