Client Update Needed!!!

Hi guys


Every time i open my PWI game it works perfectly fine. But when i come to log in it says client version is low please exit and update. An update usually come up when there is one, but nothing has came up about updating except for that i just told you.

Is there anyway i can sort this problem out quickly and easily

Reboot your PC and try again.

If that doesn't work you need to verify. Kiss goodbye to several hours of your time if the reboot doesn't work, sorry

Close the game, run Launcher.exe inside the directory laucher, usually inside your Perfect World International directory. Then wait a little... Just a little more... Okay, now in this tiny window which popped on screen, press 'Auto', mark whatever you want and select a patch server then click 'Ok'. Wait until the game updates some stuff... A little more... Yeah, there you go, now press this orageish looking button which reads 'Start' and wait a few...

And voila, there you go.

And don't forget to check what version your game is. I beleive it shows on the log-in screen what version you have. Most up to date version is 623 and if you patcher doesn't update to it automaticly you can download it manually.

Ive had two friends with the same issue lately. The above advice is good, but both had to eventually uninstall PWI and reinstall it

ITT: People missing the point of the warning being given by the client.

As someone said, check your client version through launcher. If it isn't 623, you need to update it via launcher or manual patch.

If, however, it reads at 623 and you still get the same message, you will to do a workaround to force the launcher to patch your game again. In this case, the game did not properly install the patch and hence you have a file out of date.
If this turns out to be your issue, let me know. There is a simple way of fixing it.

i had the same problem had to get it from my other pc even auto/manual patch didn't work says current client is up to date run launcer/patcher etc and still said current client version to low.

I'm having this right here as well. Could you advise me on what to do to fix it?

Go to where the game is on your computer and use the .exe file to launch it instead of the launcher.

If you are still unable to log in open the launcher and select the "Verify" option and it will scan your pc to make sure you have all the right files installed.

If Verification works it will either tell you all is well and launch the game fine or tell you you need to install something. Follow it's directions and then try and launch after it updates.

If you are still unable to log in RESTART your PC, I know sounds dumb but sometimes windows doesn't recognize file updates without a restart so try it. If it still doesn't work submit a ticket and then browse the tech forum to see if someone has another option for you to try.

Worse case you'll have to uninstall and redownload the game. b:surrender

Tried launching the client that way, it's verifying right now.....was hoping to find a solution before it finishes.....cause it takes awhile....*sigh* Restarted already so it's not that.

I really don't wanna reinstall the entire PWI....that'll take like 2+ days on the connection I have....yes it sucks, I know.

Well hopefully it finds some stupid file that got corrupted so you can get back in game quicker. Unfortunatly I've had several in game friends that have had to redownload the whole game because no one could figure out what the problem was.

Thankfully after the reinstall everything works fine.

Hey guys.today i have the same problem as the friend above.My client get the latest update and i was able to play as usual but after some problems i have with my pc i make a system restore.After system restore i try to start the game and the client version was the latest (692)
But in log-in screen i get the mesage "the version of the program client is low.Exit and update". In log screen down right say ver 1.4.6 build 2305.If i remember right that numbers was the same as before i have this problem.I try to start the launcher.exe from the rwi folder but still nothing.Today i try to verify.Any other solution guys ?I dont whant to uninstall and reinstall again.Ty in advance.

If it's after a system restore, the best thing to do is to uninstall and reinstall it.

If that does not fix the problem, please make a post in tech support!
