I was thinking this morning, moldering over while doing the house work.... lol

i love TW but hate PK i wouldent want to go in pk just to do TW training with my squad though only a hand full of faction loves to pk... alot of us dont. so this is a easy salution to our dilemer iv come up with to help TW faction grow stronger.

Have a set area in your bases for PvP. you would talk to a NPC to teleport you into the PvP area and this session would last 3 hours before Teleporting you out. this area would be in affect simuler to the bord room in Cube but just for your faction members.

This would in affect help alot of growing TW faction become stronger. and make TW more intence.

What do you think?

Not a bad idea - Unlikely to be implemented like many other good ones though.

If you want to have PvP training among faction-mates, just find an out of the way area where no one's likely to go and train in PK mode out there.

Perhaps if we didn't have.... a massive world map with many MANY good PK hiding places.

Want safe PK for faction training

    Here's 2 options for you

    1) The Cube of Fate - many rooms of the cube are PK enabled and there is no xp loss or item drop in the Cube, just don't PK in room 1 as that's where it's illegal.

    2) Dragon Temple - Every Tuesday is the Dragon Temple event, again no exp loss or item drop inside. Yes lots of well geared players will be in there at the start but if your server is like mine once the chests are gone and 8:30 (server time) rolls around Jungle ruins starts and everyone heads there to do the race. You now have a while before you get forced out of the instance in which you all can practice.

Now these aren't perfect areas either, Cube is a better area in most ways since Dragon temple is underwater, but you can't fly there so it's not exactly like TW and also you have the difficulty of getting to the right room. But some training safe from lossing xp is better than getting ***** other wise.

Also note both of these areas do not require you to be in PK mode so when you are done you don't have to be a sissy and stay in Safe Zone while your time runs out if you are on a PvE server.

something that we do on Vendetta is we do pk events and pick a town that's normally empty such as a starting town, Shrine of the Anscestors or something silly like that. Anyway, you can change your safety lock to something like 5 minutes and just relog or have everyone either agree to return anything dropped or just get a handful of scrolls.

Anyways, I've found that I don't like PK on this server because of the unevenness in gear between free and paying players but I enjoy practicing pvp in small groups against my friends. Your best bet in PVP nowadays though is to continue to improve your gear. Skill doesn't get you too too far if you get one shotted all day.

That's only partially true. I'd explain why, but I rather enjoy winning TWs against people who think it's just like pk.

Partially still means it's completely true. PK has facets that improve certain abilities that are useful in TW, and thus it makes you better at TW.

Would it not be simpler to just make a faction base an open arena with no xp loss or drop of items and no turning red name. That way you and your faction mates could just arrange in-faction fighting in the base for practise.

One word ruins your point... sins
Sins dominate PVP but are terrible in TW. So no going to west arch etc wont help you practice for TW.

althought theidea of a TW training base is excellent, specially if you dont want to loose gear to some.... person... (lets keep it nice) that abuses his lvl 100+ to kill low levels. Or random attacks players. Since there is no option for some factions to pay so much to get into a TW only to get beating in no time due to a far more powerfull faction (and more experienced).

So I'm all for TW training camps/bases! I think it should be possible for anyone to train any faction. But also for each faction to train on a TW training base only with their own members. It should increase teamplay as well in general. PK never can do that. b:laugh

There is an area for pk/tw practice, the pk arena. The problem is that pw closed down the arena and never brought it back up.
