Veno vs other caster class

How can a high geared veno (for example full R9 veno) win against another high geared caster class (for example full R9 psy) if her nix always gets one shotted? :o Any advice? Actually against any high geared class a nix is so useless! b:sad

    stop relying on your pet, pets have been completely marginalized by gear for a long time.

    Yeah true that, that's also what people tell me and what i'm trying to do, but you have to know that the phy attack of your nix hurts them alot, and veno's are not the best DD in the world QQ you think amp + purge would be enough to win without pet?

    When all the venos lvl 100 have all the new skills. I think that will be more easy. I want know combos with news skills, but now is earlier to think in a combo isn't it?

    I think you have a good point there, awesome video btw :) Give me alot of hope again :D The only problem it's so hard to get demon Summer Sprint QQ Not many people sell Old Book Pages on raging tide, and the chance you get demon summer sprint out of the book you created is soo low :/ And Summer Sprint is never sold in AH b:shocked

    I'm also looking forward to the new skills. I almost have the reflect skill wich will help alot against sins :o

    PS: With Feral Concentration, you mean in combination with Demon Summer Sprint right? :o

    I just barely got demon sprint two days ago, and it helps a lot in pvp.
    If Old Book Pages are rare, try making books through Advanced Mystical Pages instead. It has a lower chance of having sprint, but costs less.

    On the topic... I dont have r9 at all, but I fought a wiz once with part r9 (not weap)
    Though it wasnt a very serious fight, all I can say is this...

    Spam myriads. Myraid + crit is probably why I won this silly 1v1 (he kept killing every pet I managed to pull out x.x)

    Vs a caster they're likely to kill your pet or aoe you to hit it, so the main thing you want your pet to do is stun or Howl. Venos are very in between when is comes to damage and channeling, not strong but not weak, not fast but not slow. I think what helps the veno out the most is our debuffs. If you're both fully buffed, purge can help make a difference, even some self buffs are worth purging. (just dont bother trying to purge selfbuffed psys b:surrender) You also have to resist or reduce the damage from the harder hitting skills psy or wiz might use, like ultis. Against a mystic or cleric*, you need to purge them at the perfect time to get rid of their heals and buffs especially if you're tyring to kill them as an caster without the aid of a pet.
    Thats all the advice I have off the top of my head. I've only been doing group pvp against people who can oneshot me lately b:shutup

    EDIT: I just found where. But doesn't seem like a cheap option to me. Veno need 360 pages. 20 tokens are 1 mystical tome pages @ the price of 12,5k/token = 90mil to have a very low chance you get Demon Summer Sprint? Or am I missing something?

    If you do the 360 pages thing you get ALL of the skills listed there.

    That is why it is called a bookclip. Alternatively, you can use (i think) 30 pages to have a chance at only 1 of the skills from that list.

    Example: I made my Sage archer bookclip from 270 pages. I only had mastery and wingspan from the list. So I learned everything else and sold the extras. This was back when tokens were 10k ofc.

    If you have a lot of skills already, I recommend trying your luck. If not, get the full bookclip.
    It was the only non ulti skill I was missing so its kinda waste to get all those fox skills then have to sell them for like, 500k just to get Summer Sprint.

    Thanks alot, this is exactly what I need, however all the fox form skills are useless and I think also hard to sell b:cry

    Well I don't have any skills from the list yet but I would love to have Noxious Gas, Lucky Scarab, Lending Hand, Wood Mastery and ofcourse Summer Sprint. These are 5 skills, wich means when the bookclip costs 90mil, you pay like 18mil for one of those skills, but on the other side, you never find them in the Auction House, so i'll think i'll go for a bookclip b:thanks
