Invisibility Bug

Anyone got a definite solution for fixing the invisibility bug. I don't got the problem but my friend does have the problem.



My friend has tried installing both DirectX 9 and 9.0c (the two links below)

but neither have solved her problem. Anyone know an absolute solution for this?

and yes i have already searched but i didn't get any relevant solution aside from installing DirectX 9.0c (most of the stuff i got was about stealth -.-)

if it helps any she is running Windows 7

    seeing as you don't even know of which bug im talking about means you have no solution for me.

    i clearly said the problem was not mine so I obviously don't have any screenshots and how do u want me to describe it the title practically says what is it. It's one of the two problems I been seeing a lot of people complain about after expansion came out (the other being the missing file).

    But here is how you get screenshots: TELL YOUR FRIEND WITH THE ISSUE TO PRESS PRINTSCREEN WHEN IT OCCURS, GO TO A IMAGE HOSTING SITE (i.e. imageshack.com), GO TO BROWSE, GO TO C:/PerfectWorldEntertainment/PerfectWorldInternational/element/screenshots/*click the last one in the list*, CLICK UPLOAD, THEN CLICK CONFIRM.

    FOLLOWED BY COPYING AND PASTING THE URL LINK TO THIS THREAD.

    thanks Xainou but I tried that, I don't know gonna tell her of instead of putting it in the element folder to try the Windows's system folder cause when i looked through my element folder I didn't have the 3d3x...etc.etc. .dll file and mine works perfectly.
    mine is in my SysWOW64 but idk if something similiar would work since she runs 32-bit not 64-bit like I do.

    If you have run the DX 9.0c end-time updater, it should have everything up to date.

    It's time to start looking at your friends video card.

    @Sarra Don't know the specs on her video card but she was able to run PWI normally before.

    The expansion threw her off, and since she had quit [and recently returned] I didn't pay much attention to the complaints about the missing files or invisibility bug since, I was able to fix the missing file on my own before coming to forums, and I personally didn't encounter the invisibility bug even though I had seen some threads pop up the first week of expansion (where are the threads, idk I can't find them for w/e reason). She can't see NPCs, herself or other,etc.

    You don't need to put files in the Element folder is they're already in the System32 folder... The reason I recommend this way is because manually placing files in your Windows could kinda wreck it... While placing them in Element can't really wreck anything aside from the game (which in the case needed isn't running well anyway) and you can always re-install that or simply remove the files again... But placing them in Element does make your game acknowledge the files like if they are in your System32 folder... I basically just did what I saw other games do by themselves when installing...

    Edit: Here's an example... And note that none of the files in there where added by me...

    It has no real fix known at this time, it is a bug within the game itself. So all we can do is hope they will fix it finally. odd thing is that there are more and more spots where this bug shows up. no longer only for waterfalls, but the waterpools in the tideborn islands now as well. b:shocked
