i have both sets of gear on short cuts, so i can quickly swap over if i need to tank. or deal some damage.

Demon Barb, just recently changed over from full sage.

cant wait to start on R9gear, just takes awhile to farm

I'm confused, are you looking for just plain R8 pieces, the 3 normal ones being chest, this, and belt, and you want to see what we've pair with them? Or are you looking for what we've recast R8 into? Or are you looking for builds of what we plan to do with R8 recasts?

I actually dislike barb R8. Barbs have excellent hp, pdef, and strength. R8 adds are usually hp, pdef, and strength so they really don't fill in any gaps. I like the plate for its high defense, but since it refines worse than TT99 I consider the TT99 a better option because it costs about 1/3 the price. I can also see the option of using a magic belt 99% of the time, but swapping in an R8 belt for certain high physical dmg areas.

I am considering R8 recast armor and boots for aps and the hp and defense bump.
