hey guys,
i read the new rules often but i got still one question:
My boyfriend and me live together and both play pwi. so of course both of us got an account.
we got same ip-adress and now im wondering if it would be ok if we have second accounts ?
would be bad if we count as one person o0
i would be happy if some of u could help me get this answered b:thanks

2 Account per person.
You also cannot log in more than 2 accounts.
As for logging in 2+ accounts from the same IP, that's gray territory.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.
If you see b:cute be sure to take a second, calm look at anything I said.0 -
u both can run 2 accounts each, but if they ever questioned as of why you have too many games running on 1 IP, then you will need to prove you live together (lol).
but im in the same situation (hubby and me live together and both play), and ive never been questioned. i wouldnt worry about it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

What if the whole household plays? b:surrender
Each PC has a unique MAC address for starters and a unique home networking IP. It wouldn't be that hard to prove each family member is running a client on seperate computers within a home network. One would be nuts to have 2 people playing their games at the same time on the same PC. Sure one could say I'm afk running 2 catshops on a PC while another person is running their game at the same time but you will risk a ban doing that.I **** bigger than you...
Shut up and play the game.....Damn0 -

Define the number of household members that plan on playing at one time.Jadsia - Lost City wrote: »Each PC has a unique MAC address for starters and a unique home networking IP. IIRC, wasnt there something bout a maximum of 4 accounts running in a household?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Nope, just two accounts per person. See here.
As per frankieraye:*Example: If you're a family of 3 playing PWI, then you can have 2 accounts for each member of your family. You WILL have to prove this though if we notice any suspicious activity from your household.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. I know a guy that runs 12 clients on a single PC. All catshops. Been like this for a long time now, and nothing has ever been done to him. You can take their threats of a ban as serious as the goon glitchers did, or the people who still PK in SP do.0

we have a family of 6, one of which does not play, the rest of us do. only two dont have second accounts, but im the only one who plays the second account enough to warrant having both going at the same time. even then, i dont do it often, other than to buff the alts on the second account.
but i dont think the 'powers that be' are going to have a cow over someone and his S/O both having two accounts each on at the same time. i'd worry more about if your PCs and net connection can handle it.Olbaze - Sanctuary wrote: »2 Account per person.

So? Then why all the QQ? Besides, I get the impression the OP was asking the question because s/he wants to play legitimate regarding multiclienting and couldn't care less about someone else violating the ToS, etc. getting banned ot not. Leave your QQ **** to your own failed threads.I **** bigger than you...

You're dense as usual. There was nothing about my post that even closely resembled complaining. Go rage somewhere else little boy. b:bye0 -

A fellow officer in my guild got banned for a year for PKing in a GM regulated 'non-pk' area the week before last. It took a few tickets and a couple days but he got himself unbanned with a warning. So yeah, some GMs will take these things seriously when they feel necessary.I **** bigger than you...

Coming from you, that means nothing b:cute
Normally I'd continue to publicly humiliate someone who misinterprets everything they read and then rages about it, but after reading so many of your posts by now, I have realized that you are actually mentally handicapped. I'm not the type of person to make fun of you for something you can't help, so I'll just wish you a very "special" day b:chuckle0 -
I'm pretty sure multi accounts is not actively monitored, so do what you like without fear of reprisals. What kind of fool pays for a free game.0

A year long ban? What area was he in?
It's not that I don't believe you, I'm just really surprised that: 1. Action was actually taken for PK in a "No PK" area, and that 2. The ban lasted longer than 3 days.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Really? Is that why you have to resort to nothing more than petty ad hominem attacks?
But hey, maybe I can help you out here. Melanderi is a GM and an Admin and I'll quote something s/he mentioned in another post, '....determination as to whether a violation has occurred is at the descretion of PWI. AND Support will never discuss with you the status of an account you don't own.'
Yes, that includes the goon glitchers, the PKers in SP, anything else that other people do that violates the ToS. You may be too dense to realize that perhaps that may be why no Admin has responded to all those QQ threads regarding glitchers or anyone else violating the ToS other than what they already said.
So, just because you see people violating the ToS and they don't get banned is meaningless and you hijacking somebody else's thread and make a comment about not taking the GM's or Admins threats of bans seriously because you didn't get your goon glitcher answers or some SP PKers aren't banned or some idiot is multiclienting X12 chars as catshops is the height of errogance and stupidity not to mention digustingly rude to the OP.
Go ahead, I await more of your ad hominem attacks.I **** bigger than you...

LOL! Wow you really DID miss the entire context of that post! Give me a moment to stop laughing so hard.
OK, let me spell it out for you now, since all you're doing is further proving my previous statements.
I don't care one way or the other about PK in SP or people who used the dragoons to advance in level. It doesn't affect me at all. Thus, I wasn't QQing.
What I WAS doing, was using two well known examples of PWE saying "Don't do that, we will punish you", and comparing how "serious" they are about enforcing it.
Now please don't tell me I have to explain the phrase 'I know a guy that does "X"" to you as well.
And you can't really call my posts ad hominem attacks, as there is no truth on your end to attempt to negate. Just poor reading comprehension leading to your misunderstandings of what has been said.
And if you would like further proof that the powers at be don't care about punishing those exploiters, I have broke every rule mentioned in this thread and they haven't done a damn thing to me b:cute
(Except the one time I glitched claws into tiger, I got an interesting PM moments later from a funny GM making comments about de-clawing naughty tigers.)0 -

Well no, I hear the occasional person getting back from a temporary ban sometimes. Ask around, you might be surprised how many stories you'll get about folks getting temp bans for SP PK.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Question:
Why do they have a limit on how many accounts you can have on at once. This is the first online game I've played, so not sure how all of it works yet. If they only want two accounts per person on at once there must be a reason. Does it mess up the game or something, what are they trying to prevent?? Honest question here, was just curious.0 -
They don't want to have players having too much of an advantage (lol at that). If there were no limit people would rake in coin with lots of merchants as well as level up as my alts as they please at the same time, plus tons of self buffs from alts.
I am sure there are many ppl that do it anyway. Oh well.0
