I really don't know if if GM's would allow me to post this here but i want to try to get this message out. I'm posting this here cause most of sanc Leaders of big TW factions n little TW factions see this forum Please the leaders or people in your faction post this video n spread the word/message to everyone in your faction n post on facebook it doesnt matter where your from US/Canada/Mexico/Europe Let the voice be heard!!! I know the video is 30minutes long but it's worth it! MAKE KONY FAMOUS FOR HIS ARREST!!!

    The content of the video is a bit out dated (and narrow of scope) with regards to the activities of Kony, and there are a few incidental factual errors. However, the objective of this production - to raise awareness for the issue of child soldiers and the atrocities committed in this area of Africa by militant groups - is done quite well, if a bit sensational. The video does place the focus on Kony, but one needs to keep in mind that this campaign is largely about holding Kony accountable for his actions and making him a symbolic figurehead for the continuing atrocities being perpetrated against civilians (primarily children and women) in this area of the world. It is an old, old, old issue but still relevant.

    Are there other issues that could benefit from such advocacy efforts? Yes. Are there other individuals equally deserving of such scrutiny? Yes. Could this video be taken and used to "rationalize" potentially dangerous counter-actions to further victimize the victims? Yes. But such arguments do not de-legitimize the seriousness of this video's content or of the atrocities of this particular individual. What conclusions people may draw from this video, and what actions they may subsequently advocate for does not reduce the merits of this video for raising public awareness and stimulating a dialog about a very serious issue that has existed for far too long outside of Western social consciousness.

    donate money or time to the cause to help

    try not to post it in a game forum for wow factor or self assurances that you are doing

    something to better the world. the best way to help is to do it silently.

    awareness is good but not in these venues.

    this is not a direct target on anyone in this post just a good rule of thumb

    I meant research the organization before donating. Ignorance isn't all that bliss.

    lets be honest most of us are not going to get off of our computer chair's and fly over there

    to help, as much as you or I may want to its not in the cards. We have not dedicated

    ourselves to that kind of life style so lets kill this post before it gets trolled and necro'ed
