The Most Epic Fix Solution To PowerLevelers

(Now that I have your attention , sorry about the caps on every word)
People say 'Fix Fc/Fcc(Frost of course)' so that only 75+ can enter. Well that really would not help at all with the fail powerleveled people that don't know how to play. Just make Hypers 75+. 1-75 is so easy and you learn your class (well the basics) , just Quest / Bh / Crazy stone (Oracle? eh I consider it power leveling) and you will be 75 in no time. I would rather have a 7x toon that knows their class in my squad for anything instead of a 10x person that is running off cliffs in Seat of Torment. Although I would prefer them to constantly run off the cliff b:pleased

Even if that were to happen you still need level 30 to start that (Zhen+Fcc start at level 1)0 -
Do the lucidgold stuff and you're halfway there? lol[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Knowing your class won't necessarily prevent you from running off cliffs. b:shutup[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

We had a 10x last week ask us what happens if they fall off the edge. We had that BM convinced that he'd drop some of his gear if he did. I kid you not. needless to say no matter how great your solution to fix powerleveling noobs the damage is already done. Too many of these types out there. All we can do is troll them into shame and humilation at this point. b:surrenderI **** bigger than you...
Shut up and play the game.....Damn0 -
b:surrender Make hypers 75+? But...I liked hyper grinding on mobs around Dreamweaver at 70 though. The DQ and exp was nice, and grinding is so relaxing.Jadsia - Lost City wrote: »We had a 10x last week ask us what happens if they fall off the edge. You HAVE to bring an archer with you if you ever squad with him again. Have them use alacrity on him to send him FLYING off the cliff (at least close to the beginning). I've personally been hurled into mobs without warning with this skill, it's hilarious...Well, besides the initial terror. XD[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

keeping ppl from powerleveling isnt going to help that some ppl are just naturally stupid and have no commonsense. Anyone who knows better if your going to power level at some point in time your going to need to set time aside to ACTUALLY LEARN how to play your toon.
besides there's nothing stopping you from not parting with them? i'd have to say thats just as stupid0 -

You seem to be assuming that there is a way to easily identify unskilled power levelers at a glance. Otherwise there is no way to know until they actually do something stupid. By that time you've already partied with them. Sure, you can avoid partying with them again after that, but there is still no way to avoid the first time.
Do you know of some magical way to automatically know every time if someone knows their class or not?
If you do, please share.0 -
I've fallen off those cliffs a decent amount of times0

At least they will learn how to kill a mob b:chuckle[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I got to agree with the rest here. Powerlevelling is not the problem, but mainly the ignorance that people have about learning their characters.
Barbs not maxing Flesh Ream, not Roaring at pulls in FF. Clerics asking for MP pots because they "didn't know that Regeneration Aura would use so much MP". All this would be fixed if players tried to learn their characters.
I personally have nothing against it. Honestly, if a character didn't learn their character and didn't powerlevel, they certainly can get their toons up to level 75. I met a cleric who pumped dex..... No wonder my mystic ended up solo healing for that squad.
I think plvl-ing can continue. For the most reason, when I hated my cleric because of it's name, I deleted it and power levelled the new one because I wanted something with a new name. But I still had the skills to play the toon.
Boils down whether they wanna learn or not. Nothing you can do to stop it. Changing level requirements on hypers and FC instance instead is not going to help. Some people actually enjoy hypers, through AOE grinding (on my BM) or zhennig with a squad.Whether you think you can or you can't, either way you're right. -Henry Ford0 -
Im against it.
Why? because its simple.
When i want to start a new class, i dont wanna lv it with quests and such to lv 75 to enter fc to lv faster.
I already lvled more then 5 Chars to lv 80+ and dont wanna do it over and over again.
There, Hypers are handy for some ppl, who dont give a single f/uck about the quests anymore, because i done them all on a few chars and thats enough, for me.
Sure some quests like Tideborn or 1k Quests are handy, but except that, no thanks.0 -
Why not just make hyperstones unusable in FF?
That way hypers would still be usable to everyone, but powerleveling would die.
P.S. Anyone that takes me seriously with this post needs to be slapped. Not motivated enough to make another PWI siggy0 -
I really dont see the problem of power leveling. Why do people keep having this mentality:
Prevent ppl from plvl > Force them to quest 10x longer > Better at FC-ing/nirv/BH etc
Just because a barb or cleric quest for 2 mth, does not necessarily mean he'll be good at FC. Who BB at quest? Any barb kill quest mobs with roar? If you solo quest as a cleric, do you heal a squadmate who doesnt even exist if soloing, do you practice aggro control while killing quest mobs solo?
The best and quickest way for that so called "noob" is in fact to let them practice more in FC/BH/Nirv. not let them zhen more, or quest more, or solo kill mobs more.
Still remember when FC was first introduced to the servers? How many squad wipes have we gone through? We've been questing all along, but yet we still get squad wipes
Of course, people are too selfish to let these "noob" practice FC, they expect each newbie to be 100% efficient in those instance even if its their first time. And then posting up QQs in forums.0 -
TwinDreams hit nail on the head, is practise that helps perfect anything with ALL char's.
How many clerics know that IH (Iron Heart) stacks, when the skill 1st lights up on skills list at Trainers. Or any of the other skills for differents classes, for that matter. The use of is either found by trial & error. Or if lucky have someone to tell you the hints to better ways of using skills, which to max, which to leave a while as not so important.
So to all you Masters of your class out there a lil teaching & patience will go a long way, not wizzzing through at warp speed assuming every one in squad knows whats happening at any one point in the run.
To this day running Seat of Torment is hell, as the place gives me vertigo lol. There are NO Adults in this World,

You still play? But there is simply not enough squads running FC anymore - You have to take pretty much whoever and hope for the best. But then again, I have it easy as I`m leveling sin (to farm my gear) and I could prolly solo the instance if charmed but I dislike burning charms even if it wouldnt cost much so I`m running in squads.
But the problems come with instances that require any thinking. Oh, these powerlvl`d noobs can make even nobrainers like FC a hell but the new daily 10man instance is just, yeah. We did training run inside faction, 8 ppl half under 100 and most first timers I think, took ~30mins. Then again I sat 1h in that instance on yesterday(?) as delta gem, only getting to run once as the squad managed to keep failing on alpha/beta for that long. So after an hour of trying patiently to tell these idiots why they keep failing - I just ditched them to do RB delta.Trolling Sid since So Hot0
