General Mystic Tactics in Frost

I'm helping my girlfriend in doing frost with her level 85 Mystic. She's really a DD Mystic and doesn't really tell me much about how to play the healer role in frost except spam Break in the Clouds. xD
I main a Seeker (tank!) and thus had no clue what in the willy wonka I was doing.
I'm getting the hang of using Salvation, and I maxed Vital/Healing herbs, Break in the Clouds, and the AoE squad heal. So can any experienced Mystic give me the 101 on frost strategies, namely what to do for specific bosses, etc?
And if there's a cleric in squad, what's the most efficient DD?

Well to answer your question usually when i am in a 100+ frost they barely need a healer depending on class....but here's what i do when there is a cleric usually always res the cleric and tank unless they bug you since most want the cleric to rez b:shutup after that i just put falling petals on tank for pulls on tank and such and if their gear is **** i put on salvation buffs. For the 2nd and 3rd boss i just lay out my healing herbs (both healing and vital) and DD with triple spark and storm mistress and put falling petals just incase the herbs don't save me which they usually always do. b:victory but if there is no cleric i have had multiple squads where i was solo healer and with mystic it ain't that hard always make sure to have falling petals on the tank while he/she is pulling and for whoever is going to solo something like let's say sins doing the bishops and such (but usually deaden nerves will save them)and for 3rd boss i both DD and heal just heal who needs it and make sure everyone has res and once he deals this one aoe use comforting mist b:pleased but again i DD with storm and pull her back for when he does his big killer aoe and send her back. Bishop boss just lay down your healing herbs and DD and rebuff if needed after the boss is dead and semi final boss before bigroom just healing herbs and DD as well and for bigroom usually i lay down my herbs and take out the hands with chihyu and DD on the side. With the mobs put falling petals on puller and put out healing herbs when he is almost to you and aoe as much as you can "i usually pull out cragg" and for heads use either chihyu or storm to aoe the heads and put out punishing sting b:victory and BOOM you're done. Hope i helped b:byeFilling the forums with idiocy since 2/2/2012 b:pleased

1- make sure everyone has res, if theres no cleric especially
2- the res wears off around after the bishop boss (or it could have gotten purified from them) depending on your kill speed, so rebuff then (just so its still on them during the exp room)
3- when killing mobs, or before starting to kill a group of mobs, give everyone falling petals, or at least all the people u think will have aggro or low hp if everyone is moving too fast.
4- salvation can be used on the puller during the run, but i personally like to have storm or devil out during bosses, since the bosses dont really hit that hard ... but during the exp room pull salvation is useful
5- during bosses, if you are the main healer, keep healing herb and vital herbs out, and give people falling petals throughout the battle. focus on the main tanker with break in the clouds and petals. if theres a cleric with you, vital herb and befuddling is good, and attack but help heal if needed. (without a cleric you could also use befuddling, it just depends on your squads levels and such)
6- during the exp room pull, let the puller grab all the mobs, on his way back plant healing herb and vital herb before he reaches you, but not too soon so the plants dont dissapear by the time he makes it back. dont start healing him right away, wait till he starts attacking, but you can use salvation buffs on him while hes setting up spin/or w/e the guy is doing to attack, then you start healing him SPAM break in the clouds! lol.
i havnt ran FC in a long time, dont know if people do anything differently now but probably not, hope that helps[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

First off, two main things. Salvation and spamming healing spells. This is regarding if you're the main healer in FCC.
Squads lower than 90 need more heals and support. Make sure to use Falling Petals and Aegis Sphere (salvation buff) on puller. You'll notice their hp doesn't even move when they pull. Then once the mobs are gathered, quickly set down healing herb and Vital herb so it acts like a mini BB. Proceed with your healing spells and buffing the tanker with Aegis Sphere until the mobs die.
At higher levels, I found myself using Salvation only in EXP rooms for the pullers. But sometimes squishy sins pull aggro on bosses, and I end up using Aegis Sphere + Falling Petals for the sin when BP and healing herbs aren't enough.
So really, it could just depend on the situation. Sometimes healing herb and vital herb is all you need till you reach the EXP room. Observe your squad and make your own judgment call. But I personally love Salvation; I probably use it more than the average mystic. It's interesting to hardly ever see a tanker's hp go down.Dumbledore: Lily... after all this time?

Basically everything everyone else said.
I know this wont happen probably with higher level squads but you can usually take devil out during exp room pulls and pull mobs to seeker or who ever is doing the aoe.
take out mistress, buff yourself with falling petals and take out the harpys.
Take out cragg for aoe if you want, especially if something goes wrong and the seeker goes down. Use gale force, tho it's annoying to have mobs run out of vortex so I use it mainly at ends and for heads.
If you're playing healer then everything else mentioned above. b:bye[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Unless there is a cleric in the squad, you will be main heal.
Both Vital & Healing Herb act as a BB together. Its good to have both down on bosses and on the large pulls.
On the boss that you are dealing with healing around the rings on the floor, you wont have Chi ready for every time you need to move the boss to cast Vital Herb at will, but you can keep placing Healing Herb down.
Keep buffing falling petals on your tank & squishies, and spamming Break in the Clouds as needed. If the squad takes a good AoE all around, Comforting Mist will fix it pretty quick depending on how spread apart everyone is.
At Runewolf, you can try to use the Healing Herb you placed near the tank as an AoE buffer. I have found if you run in a perfect line from the boss and plant - the plant more often than not takes the damage.
Also at Runewolf, a well placed unlysinged Punishing Sting can distract the AoE sometimes appearing to take the AoE hits for everyone in the squad, but neither plant is a fool proof method.
Only DD when the squad has shown it is stable for a few secs, and dont use AS unless everyone in the squad is playing their Pro game - you could be stuck in the middle of casting it when someone dies.
You will more often than not get a squad because they need you to heal. So, no point in getting into any fancy DD thingies in FC. If there is a BM in the squad you wont be able to use them anyway. b:chuckle0
