Noob Mystic Needs Ur Help...

Yes, as some of you may know, Im new to PWI. b:chuckle

I finally reached level 100, and with my 200K rep marched proudly over to Yi Chien in 1K to claim my R8 gear, after getting the Generals Badge from the Commander-in-chief. YAY!

So far, everything is awesomeness! b:victory

What I got offered was Verdant Soul gear. Nice stuff! Bought weapon and a couple other pieces. Gemmed Weapon and refined to +4.

What Im wondering is though, why am I not getting the Tacit Link gear yet? b:sad

Could someone please help me with what I need to get to the Tacit Link gears?

Also, is it worth gemming and refining the Verdant Soul?

Im happy I did the weapon, at least I have that! b:pleased

    The r8 gears used to be named Tacit. However, in some patch a while ago they got renamed to 'Verdant' - stuff. Whoever knows why...

    You know that kinda makes sense, I remember seeing 2 sets of Tacit Link on the PWIdatabase. One set was Mystic & the other was Wizzy or something. Maybe it created too much confusion?

    If I am going for R8 Recast, which Im sure it will take some time to do for me considering Im not even in a faction atm... b:chuckle

    ...is it worth refining the R8 now? Do the refines transfer?

    I know I could look it up, but if someone could just say off the top of their head, it would be nice too.

    refine doesnt transfer. I wouldnt recast the r8 top since it already has nice stats. and yes its worth geming the top. if you decide to recast the weapong dont gem it.

    Btw, I <3 the weapon. It looks all crystally and aurora borealisy. Its beautiful! b:dirty

    Please, just don't use the r8 pants. The r7 ones are much better. And even if you are planning on recasting later it is still worth some modest refines like maybe +7 at the most.

    Too Late! Im using the pants b:chuckle

    +7 is high rolling for me. I have +7 on my Warsoul, but only cause I figured Id be using it a while. All other gears are +4. My weapon is +5 and I have to be comfortable with that because Im pretty much broke nao. >.<

    I have to say, its working out better than I expected. b:pleased

    or, the tt90 green pants as well. same grade rank, same defense and defense bonus, but adds 30 more HP, but you lose the magic bonus so thats an optional choice.
