Gold

Thinking of cashing to get some mounts/fashion.

What I've noticed is that buying the mounts or fashion through the boutique is a huuuge waste from seeing the prices people are selling from catshops/auction.

Gold = 1.45ish million coins.

Seraphic mist 12.5 gold in boutique, selling for 4.5m.
Sapphire tops 10 gold selling for 5m

What?

After seeing how its so much cheaper to buy from others or the auction, I decided to spend my gold elsewhere.

Now my question is, currently, what are the best method to spend your gold on for maximum profit? I can only cash so much per month so of course I want to spend wisely lol.

Any tips? Still charms? hasn't been on for nearly 3 years.
Also DAAAYUM, gold rising from 150k to 10 times the price? How'd that happen, now I regret my decision of investing in junk instead of gold b:surrender

Edit: How does one try to find the average price of items these days? Not really finding luck from forums, ingame, or even searches.

I have the exact same problem with finding prices... I usually ask a faction for PC (price check) and see what people say and find a middle ground.

To maximize your profit as a cash shopper, I suggest selling it in AH (auctioneer... I don't know why I say AH). At high times, gold sells quick for 1.75. Low times it's at 1.4... Before that though, anything you want to buy, find it in a cat shop, and do the math to compare it to gold prices in cash shop. I find that on the most part, rep badges are better in the cash shop (when they're on sale). I buy gold and buy my rep badges through there instead of through tokens (which are outrageous) and cat shops.

Note: Most mounts and flyers are cheaper in cat shops than in cash shop. Same with fashion and many more. Also note the charge when buying or selling gold. Your best way to avoid this is to offer to buy a cash shop item for someone and them paying for it at the gold price. This way, both avoid the fee. And in the gold AH, the numbers you see are the HIGHEST priced seller on top, and the LOWEST buyers on the bottom.

As well, you'll get your best price from people who are posting WTS's and OBO's in the world chat because usually they want the coin quick ;)

    O_O I hope this wasn't a wall of confusion.

Not interested in merching in any MMO. Sure, they're the best way to invest your money and gold for high end profits, but unfortunately I want to enjoy playing the game just for fun and not worry too much about money.

I just don't want to get scammed by others for not knowing average prices and just throwing out numbers lol. Thanks though

Oh wow 1.75m at peak? Now that you mentioned it, I actually was leaning towards just selling the gold itself. I'm a bit impatient and I just can't take others undercutting gold. Especially when I put a few gold and some person undercuts by 1 coin just so they go below me and have hundreds of gold in stock, then I'd have to either wait it out or have another person undercut the massive amount of gold from earlier, right?
    And so continues undercutters~

From what you're saying Gold > most cash shop items except some items on sale like rep badges. Gotcha

I'll remember that about the World Chat.
Was searching hard to find a way to block world chat off common chat but in the long run, it'll help me find some good deals.

Thanks for your time and help b:thanks

Sorry to burst your bubble then. If you want to reach the highest income without selling your gold through the ah then you will have to merchant, as packs/orbs/rep have the highest income, packs has alot of competition but you dont have to take a risk when selling them as they will always eventually sell, rep and orbs in my opinion are only good to sell once they go off sale. Even after they go off sale there is no guarantee that they will sell.

Ahh yes, those do suck. But if they are the lowest sellers they'll be sold out in a day or so.
As well, there's days where bid's in the bidding hall are almost non-existant. You could do an auto bid to 2 or 3 gold on things you think that are worth, and sometimes you'll hit jack pot on that!

Also, staggering out your gold prices help regulate the selling prices. The people who want fast gold and selling 100's at 1.5 are the ones making everyone scram to sell there's at the same price, hoping buyers don't shoot lower than 1.5 in the coming days. Which is what happens.... and is now why gold prices are so low.
But they used to be lower! Gold used to sell for a couple hundred thousand b:dirty Weren't those the days.
