23/02/2012 Update seemed to ruin my patcher

I went along with the update like always, but it stoped at the launcher and when i try open it again it says "Unable to close the patcher of progressing, update interrupted" and ive searched this term and find nothing on it... the game was working perfectly since the expansion its just this update thats made it stop working, anyone have any idea what this is?

    Same here bro it was working fine prior to update now i get this weird encrypted error page

    Good to hear its not just me... but yea ive spent the last 2 hours looking up every possible thing and im getting nothing... when the patcher was loading to open like it always does (retrieving the update i asume) it downloaded for a little while and now the patcher just dosnt open)

    So clearly it downloaded somthing that messed it up... ive now tried the manual patch etc and its doing nothing... might try reinstalling the patcher

    2) The game engine has been updated to utilize DirectX 9.0c. If you encounter an error that states "This application has failed to start because d3dx9_42 was not found" you will need to update your DirectX End-User Runtime. It is located at:

    yea ive tried downloading that it didnt help.... and was about to try re install :/

    I already tried it it didnt help. the problems not the installing its the patch

    no change... this is really annoying I did what I've always done but for some reason this time fckd up my patcher

    >.< same thing happened to me. When i first openeded louncher and started update it just closed, when i tried again i got that error. Then i restarted laptop and opened louncher again it said some files are missing or moved.

    well i dont know ive tried everything ... and well cant really uninstall and re download dont have the net for it atm xD ... but i can see the patcher is still up in my processes window so leaving to see if itl randomly work like the other guys did...

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International\patcher\patcher.exe ^louncher shortcut...checked there, but no patcher.exe ...im pretty sure it used to be <.<

    Lol my pacth now don't work after i try update, update didn't start. And now my path.exe dissappear....

    I think I still have that my problem is the patcher works fine but when it goes to activate the launcher that opens the updating window it dosnt load... and when i try it again it acts like its still going so i just hope its been super delayd...

    Now i try access the game with \ProgamFiles\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International\element\elementclient.exe and in the log in window say my verion is not the same..means not updated....

    My parcher doesnt even exist QQ. Is there any way i could re-download just patcher? Don't wanna install whole game all over again...

    I was actualy looking that up and cant seem to find it... this problem happend from the automatic update so I really hope we get an actual answer cause I mean i know i did nothing diffrent to cause this to happen .-. + wedding is today... dont want the 20 gold to be wasted cause my patcher fckd itself up

    ya..cause there's no patcher to patch it ._. I tried to manual update it from download page and run with elementclient.exe, but manual patch also opens with patcher.exe so...again says its missing

    I got it fixed woot ! I asked a friend to send me his patcher.exe and i moved it to C:\Program Files (x86)\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International\patcher\
    Ran the game from louncher shortcut again and it worked just fine. No idea what the issue was.

    Nope tried that... then I got a pop up error saying missing packDLL.dll ... so searched the forums found that re downloaded it and im back to where i was when i started... the patcher starts then the launcher just dosnt open

    This was from an automatic update... come on wtf theres gota be some kind of GM or somthing who can atleast answer

    I just copied the patcher folder from the temp/backup part and replaced the patcher that was messing up and it worked

    That is right,just go to C:\Program Files\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International\config\patcher\temp
    and copy the patcher.exe file in there,and paste it in C:\Program Files\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International then double click,let it update,if it needs to,and,there you go
