Is it normal?

okay, so i was playing my alt BM (she is lvl 11) and i found a giant coin with a chest on it. i brought my cleric over there hoping to be able to get coins or something and i end up getting attacked. learning to find out that was a treasure hunt quest.

I was wondering if it is normal to find a treasure hunt just laying around in the middle of a walkway.

I found it in the path in North Etherblade, in between the gate and the sacred waterfall that kicks you out if u jump in.

    The chest isn't spawned until the character with that treasure map quest reaches the location, but it can be spawned if you fly over the correct location... the quester may have been AFK at altitude.

    Not sure how common that particular chest is... I haven't gotten one in that location.

    it wasn't a chest! lol it was literally a coin! the size of a person. with a chest engraved on it. it was standing on its end and it was glowing.

    Yesterday my Treasure Hunt "chest" were a coin too. (Wasnt even near Etherblade)

    ok cool, nice to know that... but that means i stole someones Treasure hunt?
