Skill set-up?

Long story short, I was an aps barb, I am no longer an aps barb. Need BM to take aps gear so I have my hp back b:cute

Was wondering how you set up your skill bars, since having so many weapons and stuns, AoE's and stuff like that seems like it could get too clustered and mixed up? I don't know, my barb's skill set up is fairly easy. I like to be organized and would like the help.

Nothing really specific for BMs, just have your weapons on hotkey (must) and personally I prefer to keep away commonly used skills from spark skills so I dont misclick. It also helps to keep skills similar to your Barb's in the same area, such as HP Buff and Pdef Buff. b:victory

Edit: You will need your skill pages extended out to 3 or more.

Sakubatou - Sanctuary

Its going to be something you develop as you play, honestly. Each persons will be different, but stealth gave you some great advice. Another thing I would add is group similar skills that you tend to chain.

Personally, I have F1-8 as my PvE and my 1-8 as my PvP. I have auto attack as F1, sprint (on all characters) is F2, then my most commonly used skills for PvE are cyclone heel and RoTP stun. I wanted RoTP close for squad saves. I have Diamond Sutra as F5 because there is a space between F4 and F5 so its easy to find when I need an hp save. My PvP keys are 1-leap forward, 2-leap back, 3- pickup, 4-shadowless kick, 5-RoTP stun, then I've grouped all my stuns together so my mouse is there for a stunlock in 5-8.

Couple of the groups I mentioned. Stuns for your stunlock. Aoes for zhenning. Pair up weapon hotkeys with their ulti's, have axes next to HF and fists on the otherside for swapping back. I went spear, GS, Fist, HF, axes so that my fist are inbetween both ultis. I have my knockbacks together with my sword and spear skills, and my ranged attacks together right below my pole.

I have armor switchs for -int and defense for my plate and for my belts. I have weapons hotkeyed in 7 places, lol. You have 56 available spots.

If your going to PvP I suggest you pick up a crappy pole and place the weapon hotkey right next to the skill Farstrike.
Dunno about other Blademasters but my polearm is really just my Farstrike stick.

My BM's main purpose is for PvE. But I might play around with PvP a bit too once it's at 100

I have 6 rows. When I teach BMs this is what I usually recommend to start with, and modify it from there.

Number keys:

1: Cyclone 2: Claws 3: Axe 4: Roar 5: Mire 6: HF 7: Drake Sweep 8: Highland Cleave 9: Fissure.

In the rows above 6/7/8/9, keep your pots, run skills, and marrows. I keep other random pots, pulling skills, genie skills & etc on the left side. I kinda picked them as one of those annoyed that I don't have X quickly available or reminding me of use as I look at my bar to what is refreshed.

The idea behind this was utilizing your mouse and fingers as efficient as possible, at least with my way of clicking and linear left to right thinking.

Idea is hit your stun, whatever Amp is available, Drake, Highland, Fissure - and then the choice of a Stun, Amp, or Cyclone inbetween the AoE refresh depending on what is not on cooldown. Concept is this creates a constant AoE. Always drake, highland, fissure with a 4th [Cyclone, Stun, HF]. The pots and etc stay above 6/7/8/9 because thats where my mouse stays.

My F keys is spark and gear switches on the right side. 3 Spark, Auto-attack, APS Gear. I've got the next ones cascaded out for weird ****, like my CE through HF for Spark routine, same with the GS version, and other gear setups.

I now have one empty hotkey slot that I was using for the new skill until I realized it sux.

Dunno, I like linear setups. Do what works for you. Honestly you could put it in random wtf order, it all becomes kinda muscle memory/automatic eventually.

If you can stand rotational skill bar then may a row for each weapon. Leave one row out of rotation or keep 1-4 key the same or use the other shortkey bar.

I set up mine after looking at bm videos.... It was hard at 1st, but as i play more it gets better. I feel that my pvp can improve more with this type of set up b:victory

I have my rows maxed completely for my 1-9 keys and f1-f8 keys. Apoth, gear, skills take up every possible row... I've had to eliminate some skills I no longer use due to the CC removal like drake breath bash etc to make room for the new skills.

After the release of the expansion I literally stood still for 30 minutes trying to figure out what skill or key to remove to add the sword cyclone. b:shocked

But yeah, my videos show my hot key set up over the years. It has changed a lot recently because of the R9 gear and new skills that take up so much more room.

Female BMs are one of the worst looking characters in PWI, even worse than fish.

i set up weapons next to the weapon row they go with then the rest of my skills are catagorized so i can find them fast. like all spark and chi skills next to each other. same with most aos and stuns and buffs
