Proposal to fix Nirvana for all classes

I have an idea that should make everyone happy! b:pleased

(TL;DR for those of you with short attention spans: Get rid of Caster Nirvana.)

1) Eliminate Caster Nirvana and the talismans. We'd only need 1 patch cycle for the redemption of talismans we already have at the Mysterious Old Man, since it's possible to pick them up just before maintenance.

2) Stick the current Caster Nirvana bosses into the Normal Nirvana instance as potential boss encounters. (A Blademaster in one of the threads stated that the Caster bosses are too easy and need more HP. Perhaps make that change while combining them, too.)

3) Make keys unstackable and timed. (Since most of us have at least dozens of keys already, make those consumed first if both kinds are in inventory. That, or make them tradeable for the new ones. They'll naturally disappear over time.)

4) Make the Mysterious Old Man only give one key per day, instead of three, just like he does with Talismans now.

5) Make the drops the same as Caster Nirvana, rather than Normal Nirvana's current drops. (It seems that most non-casters think casters get better drops, and casters would see no difference from what we're used to.)

Pretty much the consensus of the non-casters seems to be "If Caster Nirvana is that broken, just get rid of it. The timed/unstackable Talismans aren't a problem." And the point of Caster is that we can't exactly take an all-caster squad to Normal Nirvana as the average robe tank will fall over and go boom against those bosses (and seriously, I think venos [followed by clerics] have the best chance of actually making it into a normal squad).

So let's get rid of Caster and mix it into Normal. That way everyone gets what they want: non-Casters stop hearing QQ about how Caster is broken in various ways; casters get invited to Nirvana so they can help with the Physical Immune bosses. And everyone gets a very limited number of chances to go each day, driving the prices of Uncannies and Raptures back through the roof. Also, since non-casters think Casters get better drops, may as well bring the "new and improved Nirvana" in line with that train of thought!

In the thread where I had originally made this proposal (but since it was a QQ thread, it got ignored...), someone implied that Barbarians get the short end of the stick. As far as I can tell, they get the same end of the stick as they do in every other instance this way. (They're no longer "needed" but they won't be rejected by most squads.)

Alas, the only way to make it fully "fair" for barbs is for the game to be fairer to them overall. Anything I could propose would simply be overcompensating and therefore against the spirit of this proposal being equally fair across the board. b:sadb:surrender

This is not a QQ thread. Please try to make constructive comments in relation to this proposal. Maybe if we can figure out a workable solution that stops discriminating and causing a divide between APS and Caster (leaving a couple of classes out in the battle), PWE will push China to change Nirvana accordingly and this huge point of contention will finally get laid to rest.

I'm not mad, but perhaps my suggestion will get taken to heart and non-casters will be while casters won't really see much change from now except the ability to find a squad. Of course, the classes currently excluded from both Nirvana types will likely be the most in support of this proposal as it opens up Nirvana to them quite a bit more.

    beat it out man its not gona happen specially how would u do a 99keys run then? also casters do them. there is no way to fix vana and caster bosses in vana for what i know besides easier also give an hell high drop rate compared to aps vana. theres alot of keys cus ppl earned them by loging daily. u can just quit the game if u dont like it. casters can do both nirv tali runs and normal runs

    We already have Nirvana fixed for all classes, it's called Nirvana. If casters REALLY wanted they could run it before Caster Nirvana, but a lot of them are lazy good-for-nothings who whined all day about how high APS squads wouldn't take them. That's why we have Caster Nirvana, it was an attempt to make those casters happy, however now that casters can't glitch anymore they're back to whining and crying (at least on the forums).

    Nirvana was fine before, as long as you weren't lazy you could could a squad. I saw it dozens of time, casters (yes, even Wizards) were getting into Nirvana and spamming it.

    So yeah... we already have a balanced Nirvana, it's called Nirvana. :D

    Sweety, save your tired little fingers. Unless you're going to write something in chinese and mail it to perfect world beijing, the chances of being heard are impossible.

    ignores post and presents the real problem : we've been farming nirvana for TWO damn years. New expansion sure... but the PVE content is far too dated to keep this up. I thought the PVE gear was going to be something you could farm but I guess not after trying the new instance it will either hand you a fully made weapon or mirages.... and the 15G ones can but purchased.... by not doing the instance.

    Just out of curiosity, how do you decide which character you're going to troll- er, post on?b:chuckle

    You never know what PWE might do, if you complain to the right people. So, find someone to translate your proposal to Chinese and mail it over. It's worth a shot, anyway.

    And what...the 5 APS crews wont Rule something new to farm too?

    Thanks though, you have helped me see that the expansion could be a way of trying to get people out of their old mindsets.

    How about the really simple fix that should have been made ages ago:

    cap aps at 2.0, problem solved.

    Reason why it won't happen? CN and PWE players would cause an epic qq and cost PWI greatly.

    Conclusion:
    sad game remains sad.
