Taking forever to get PMB.exe

I've been trying to reinstall PWI for a good couple of hours now but it's been stuck at PMB.exe for SO long.
I've also tried to restart the installer but it hangs at PMB.exe all the same.

I read from this other thread, am I supposed to download PMB.exe elsewhere to make it work or is it normal to have to wait a couple of hours for a small part of the mini downloader? Would appreciate any kind of help.

    I just went ahead and downloaded PMBinst. to get past in, now it's stuck at another point telling me Pando can't get through my settings.
    Even though I had my Firewall off.. b:angry

    You're most likely faster if you're using the torrent download.

    Get any bittorrent client and get the torrent file from http://pwi.perfectworld.com/download/torrent

    also don't forget to uninstall pando, as it consumes upstream bandwidth. (it is a filesharing system that saves PWE costs for bandwidth by using the bandwidths of their customers).
