Whats the point?

What is the point in the sin skill Death link and bm aoe skill, i dont remeber the name, they are useless, they are doing almost no dmg and they cost 2 sparks wtf?
ok for bms the animation is pretty cool looking, then i can compare the skill with dance whitch serves no purpose but is fun to use, but sins death link animation looks like water or any other liquid splash in to the face.
Why couldnt cn devs just leave a free spot in our skill list.
Dont know if other classes or orders skills are such a space and chi waste.

I'm sure every class got some pointless skill- Not like I bitting at the bit to get every one of them- a couple I may not even bother with-
