when i start the game, i can't see my char, other chars and monsters too, what's happen?

    Having the same problem man. Not sure what is going on. It worked fine yesterday. Probably some bug in expansion patch.

    To clarify:
    I can see UI, no chat appears in the box, however.
    I can see terrain, no movable actors appear however(NPCs, Mobs, etc.)
    I can see my own fairy's particle trail, however the model for the fairy is not visible.
    I cannot see any player characters, including my own.

    This is just me being curious because I have no idea.. but is your directx updated?

    Will check right after this.

    Also, an update, as I did a little more testing. Made a new character just to check to make sure that it wasn't only an existing-character related problem, and noticed a few more things.

    Names DO appear, along with quest markers, both gold and gray (saw Jolly Old Jones's name... and his gold sheild, just not him.) Also, plants, and I assume other resource nodes also do not appear, but once again, can see the names(saw Salvia Root's name, just not the model.)

    Well, I'm not sure if this was the problem or not, but it did seem to help.

    Downloaded it.

    Ran game.

    Got to see a cool book open up at the login screen, and thats when I knew it was working. Ty for the suggestion, not sure if it was what was wrong or if they hotfixed, but I can play now.

    I am also currently experiencing this problem. I can log in to pwi but when I get to the character selection screen I cannot see my character. I can see my character list and click on them but not my character.

    lol, my computer is normal, my wife computer she cant see nothing also.
    Same DX in both.
    Same updates in both

    only difference is mine is 64bits OS her 32bits

    How cute, first of all cudnt enter this game bcuz of **** 9.0c directx (wondering why before everything was running with no probs) and after i decided to download the stupid file it asked me for, now i cant see my char, either chars around me, either npcs. So really, wondering if pw can make a patch with no drama included.

    Abt the link u giving: not working for me, once it says "initiating" after it i get an error saying "cant run bcuz the file of the program is being running atm" , the prob is theres no program using it. Keep on doing it, i really enjoy playing the game without seeing mine nor other chars around me.

    I submitted a ticket for it. I have a high end custom build PC. I gave them my specs I even updated my video card, restarted and nothing. I attached to it a screenshot of the issue of transparent no show NPCs, my characters, other players characters, Mobs, etc. Waiting on a response back.

    There telling me the same issues. download patches. make sure u have diretx. visualc++........ I have all of this and my graphics are more than what is needed for this game. yet me and hubby still cant see characters. nps. mobs. anything.

    Had the very same problem!!!
    annoyed me since the update took so long. & the directx9c was loaded.
    but apparently not all the files were.

    so thanks to jeradal who ans'd w this link previously! it worked!! =D
